Making them quieter
 

I read a post about powdered graphite made their zz a little faster and quieter, are there any other ideas to make it quieter? The motor by itslef running is fairly quiet, its just when the gears come to play when it gets loud. Whats suggested?

WD40 on a Qtip is a temorary fix...probably best to do first before using your car multiple times for a long period of times...
it does go away eventually

Guess its been about a month and your r/c is still running fine....seems to work huh?--the baby powder

Tamiya gear grease from my 1/10 RC. It also quieted it down. I only put a little on the gear pins and also under the rear axle.

It seems to work also for me.

Baby powder works great.... Give it a try..

I have a buddy that is convinced that a liquid teflon aerosol that he uses on all things friction would be the way to go.

If I try it, I'll let you know.

i tried baby powder and it is crap. then my buddy lubed her up with graphite and that is nice. i also tried teflon triflow bike lube. the triflow makes it the quietest but dirt sticks to it. graphite is nice.

Graphite is the way to go.

Liquid lubricants will attract and retain dirt, dust, and other crap.
I'd only use baby powder if there was no such thing as graphite. :p
