Some newbie questions

What is the best setup? Like springs, tires, and height adjustments? Which wheelbase works the best for handling? How do you prevent wheelhop on startup?

What is this about the jumping ramp? How high is it? Does it work well?

I would like some help!

I own an epoch but have not made any changes from the box stock form. However, I can give you some general info based on years of dealing with RC cars. The best setup will depend on the surface that you drive on. If you are driving on a somewhat slippery surface and the rear end tends to oversteer, try softer tires in the rear to improve traction. Harder rear tires will tend to make a car spin out on slippery surfaces. If you want to improve steering response (decrease understeer) try softer springs and/or tires in the front. A general rule of thumb is to use softer springs or tires on the end of the car (front or rear) that you want to increase traction or decrease slipping on. The wheelbase is more dependent on the body that you are using than anything else. A longer wheelbase will usually make a car more stable, but it may not make much of a difference at this small a scale. Also, if you do make any changes to your car, make one change at a time. That way you can make a note of what you did and what effect the change made.
