hey guys here is my latest part , an alu strut bar...what do u think?

MicroSpeed 12-11-2003 06:23 PM

Nice job, I suppose that replaces the clear plastic panel that normally covers the front end?

sherifx 12-11-2003 06:39 PM

if your goal is like what microspeed suggested, you should also put braces going back to the screw holes by the servo.

One other thing is the servo, even though it is wedged in there pretty good the stock brace locks it down so it can not move.

Nice job. I've been waiting to see somebody try that...

wow! that is really nice. a nicely done custom mod. i give you proper respect. did you find a perfect peice of metal? or did you actuually contruct it yourself?

slugbugg 12-13-2003 02:05 AM

Actually he looks to be very resourceful in that he used a piece of aluminum tube, flattened the ends of it and drilled the holes.

It does look good.

Aluminium Strut Bar

Howdy,
Ahhh man you beat me to it. I am going to do the same thing. Just had not dug out on Aluminum tude yet. Looks good though. Only I was conserned with is weight. Going to try and see the difference in weight after I do it. you should also add the other bars from to bad though. If not your chassis may be weak there and break. Don't want to see that happen. Looks good man. Later
