returning tricks
 

hey guys. well i was just wondering if you could give me some tricks or mess ups so i could return my xmod to get a new one. this one is frustrating. a cord came off. the controll doesn't work. gimmie some excuses and brakes to make for my xmod.

Uh, how about being honest and saying a wire came loose and the controller doesn't work? It's pretty lame to deliberately break your car so you can take it back.

If the car shows signs of use and wear they prolly wont take it back anyways. Most returns have to be in NEW (RESALEABLE) condition.

they gave me a new chasie with everything on it for free cause i told them it caught on fire and tat civic chasie looked like it was driven to he!! and back

i forgot where i got it. just do a search. o yea. my car does have problems. once it was off and i turned it upside down with out the body on and it started to smoke.

Just be honest. They will most likely let you return it.

if you've been there before and havent tried to return 8 to one store like i did they should let you return it. and the smoking was probably a resistor on the reciever pcb. if you want to fix it you could read "Extended Range?" if you have a soldering iron and want to fix it.

i noticed on my old chasie when ever the bat wired would touch the heat sink screws they would spark and one wire almost melted all the way off

I dont understand people in this forum...probably becasue most are under the age of 15. Anyway, if a product is defective you take it back...what part of that concept is so hard to grasp? If you are driving your 1 month old car (real car) and everything is working right and all of the sudden the engine blows...do you think the dealership wont "take it back" because is has signs of wear?? If you think this you should be shot. My RS took one of mine back and didn't ask any questiones, they just gave me a new one. Don't lie and make crap up...thats just cheating the company. If you want them to come out with new things, dont cheat them out of money, or else they wont be able to

im 14 and the sec my car screws up i look at it and then find the prob then hit RS for a new part or car cause im cheap and i want what i pay for to work and last long

exactly, find the problem, fix it if possible THEN go to Radioshack

1.jst take it back and tell um da truth, 2.if they refuse then talk to the manager, 3.if dat doesn't work search through the friggen forums and find out how to fix it

*note if 2 fails buy a soldering pen while ur there Jst in case u need one
