My charger is acting weird...

Every time I try to charge my Tower Hobbies 1800 ultra sport batteries the charger makes a zapping type noise continuously right when I connect the battery to the charger. What is the problem? What should I do?

make sure it is connecting good, the zap may be from electricity jumping from connector to connector:)
