Broken in 3 days
 

On friday I bought the skyline, on sunday I was going full speed when the plastic part of the axle that attaches to the wheel mount snapped and the wheel went flying off! The car went out of control into a curb and flipped about seven times breaking the mirrors and scratching up the body. I think xmods are cool, but they are not very good quality. Out of the box mine pulled hard to the left, the magnetic screwdriver didn't work after a day, heat sink for stage 2 motors didn't line up, and the axel snapped. I had a great time for 2 and 1/2 days but this is just unacceptable. I am going back to radioshack to ask for a new car. I think they should give me 2 for selling me such a lemon of and xmod, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen. I dropped $110 for the car, rechargeable batteries, lights, and the stage 2 motors and I am feeling ripped off.

That must suck, sorry to hear that happened to your XMOD. I think that you got ripped off. You said you paid $110 for all that. But when you add that all up it totals up to about $95.

If I got ripped off, I would be even more upset!

I think its somewhere around $95. Lets do some simple math.

Skyline :$49.99

Rechargable batteries: $24.99

Stage 2 motors :$15.99

Lights :$5.99

Just exchange it. You had a little accident and it caused a big problem. Happens all the time.

A lot of the Skylines are defective and you probably just got a defective one. The people at RS will probably be happy to exchange it.

Yea radioshack will probably take it. Maybe 0.00001% of the time they will say no. Just make sure it is in the orginial packaging and you have the receipt.
