Anyone play with the new Super Perfections yet? Looks like a hot set for only $12 US.

Another interesting thing, the controller appears to have two speed modes- either all time full, or 2 speed mode. Nice!

they are basically an exact replica clone of the Super Bit Char-G......i am going to order one....plus...perfection is a company we can trust...right? they give us high quality motors so i should think thier cars are no different...

I have read posts from unhappy perfection owners also. The only reason I am interested is because of the multiple frequencies on a 2 speed car. I still may try LXX first boosters first.

Although, if Microsizers releases a 6 player Pro line, then I will stay MS. Just depends on if I want to spend money now, or keep hoping the new MS line comes out soon. I'm getting impatient!

And why doesn't BCG have more 2 speed cars? Lots of very, very cool car bodies, but I don't want a single speed chasis.

if ms did make a 6 play proline then i think that rs would loose alot of SE sales from the people who want to race more than 2 cars at a time...........i will stick to bits and clones

The super bits are 6 player. Websites have the new series of MS Pros listed for release in mid November, and rumor has it that they will be 6 player. I guess we'll see.... sometime. Christmas is near, so I would imagine Hobbico is doing everything they can to get them out before the shopping season starts.

What do you like better about the two speed. I heard that without boost they run really slow. I was thinking about getting a lxx-r two speed but it sounds like most people only run single speeds. Am I wrong?

No, you are right... most people just use the single speeds. And the slow speed is rather slow.

I do most of my racing on a small track. There is no way those single speed bits will stay in the corners I race on. And during the race, the car is never going it's slow speed. When I head into a turn, I lay off the boost and the car starts to deaccelerate. And as I come out of the turn, I hit the boost again. So the car isn't ever really going slow, it just slows down a bit for the turns. It is actually really cool to see it accelerate out of the turns.

Not in my book. They claim to have the fastest motors. (4.2s king, and pros)

But they are the speed of a 2.6-3.0 at best.. That to me is a liar, and if you need to lie to sell you product, your product sucks....


IMO, Perfection will tell you whatever you want to hear, so buyer beware.

That makes sense. I have a 8' by 8' track with tight turns so maybe a 2 speed would be advantageous.

And it isn't like you are compromising. The two speeds don't have any drawback from the single speeds, except maybe the cost.

Better not invest too much in 2 speeders, we all know they tend to damage motors easily due to their pulsing voltages.

I race on a tiny 4'x4' track, and the boost does me no good. Too much coordination for me, having to hit another button as I go into a corner.

I have to say, the controller is the only thing that looks like a replica of a super bit on that car. That chassis looks like the same ol' chassis, but clear. That's too bad, because I think the Super bits new chassis shape is beneficial to handling.

I'm with Payaso, I wouldn't trust the hype when it comes to Perfection, but they are cheap, an excellent source for parts, and there is a chance that you will get a car that works great, so I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. (If I had cash that is)

Do you have anything to support this claim? I have heard people say that is not true. I personally havn't had one motor go bad after racing for a few months now, and if it did blow out soon, I would just go buy another $3 motor. That works out to be a dollar a month. Not too bad.

Lots of things could damage motors. Dirt, lint, consistently running up an incline, running the motor when the wheels can't turn, moisture, etc...

I don't use clone motors though. That may have something to do with my success with longetivity.

Well first I referred to bits and not clones, and I merely said they tend to damage motors easily and not "they damage motors all the time" or something like that. I do think pulsing voltages to a motor would be tapping the switch of any electrical appliance on and off continuously.

That sounds bad for the switch, I don't know how it would affect the motor.
