Mini-z Battery heatsinks on a Xmod

over on mini-zracer this site's sister they have battery clip heat sinks. http://mini-zracer.com/shop/product.php?pid=18 They will fit an Xmod with minor modifactions.

They don't have purple you see here. The ones on mine are made by Megatech.

To make them fit you will have to file the lower clip of the heatsink. On the battery holders on the car you will also need to remove the center dividers.

Nice work CJ!

I'm looking into purchasing a Mini Z right now, and maybe a Overland, and then I can see what kind of stuff is compatable and exactly how these Xmods stack up to the Z.

wow thanx alot for that. i was looking at those last night and was wondering if it would work.

hehe, another mini-z convert:D xmods are a great rc for the price and when really done right, could hang with fairly normal mini-z's however if you run an nml xmod for example against an nml mini-z, i doubt it would be even close. jsut another thing to think about...the cost of a fully modded xmod is about the same as a mini-z with upgrade motor. i still plan on getting an xmod though for modding and having fun with.

i thought of that too - and had them from my miniz overland but didnt want to modify them just to fit the xmods - i may order another set

on the mini z overland - its awesome - id wait though - kyosho will release a miniz monster truck with much larger tires, a body lift and wider axles (for stability) and a few other things

i didnt know and bought an overland just to do the 1/32 tamiya monster truck modification, its fun driving it over my xmods, and when i pull it out my friends with xmods are like damn thats sooo quiet (and really fast, with a 2x2 FET upgrade and s02) - i like having both but wish i had waited for kyoshos actual mini z monster - or team losis mini-t truck

within 3 months of the monster z release, the chassis parts will likely be out, nuy those and you have the best of both worlds:D , it's what i plan on doing

no they arent necessary but when you run two sets and one is either in the car or in the charger they get hot (i know im shortening the lives of the cells)
