Body molding

Me and my friend were trying to make bodies by somehow melting plastic to adapt to shapes of hot wheels. Am I doing this right?

Hehehe that what i did.
I took plastic fender of a matchbox rc car and molded em with real car bondo to the Micro chassis.

What material did you use and how did you heat it up? Nice body by the way.

Rear Body flare

-First i found a car which i want parts from(aka real cars fenders/pumbers)
-2nd i took a knife or clip and cut the fender out.
-I had to drim it so it roughly fit the shape of the micrsizer.
-then u use bondo (real car bondo that u can get by the quart
from any car store autozone advanced pepboys) the bondo acts like glue and also acts like filler for the gaps.
-Sand the exessive body part down to the shape u want and there u go

u have to use a rough sandpaper to get the shape and a fine one to get that stuff smooth

do not melt ur body just use bondo

I dont really knwo what i hotwheel i used.

But here is what is left.i will also use the front bumper of it. its gonna be my front bumper for the accord.

u tell me what is was hahaha

Oh and i used P800, P600 wet sand paper. Sanded by hand. I used a dremel before wasnt precise enough for me but it worked good to clear out teh fenderwell. But yeah a dremel works fine.

it will be the first slot car motor powered bit
it will be atleast 3 inches long though

good luck man !

I am looking for some fenders for the front lol any idea what to use ? or what car to chop down ?

geofroley 10-31-2003 04:32 PM

I jsut though of a new idea for body kits and fenders: Rip them off of Muscle Machines cars and cut them to size they would look awesome.

IceSkyLine 11-01-2003 09:34 PM

hahaha best way to add music to ur ms

use a hit clip radio or a hit clip.

geofroley 11-03-2003 03:38 PM

Little weighty, and limited selection of music.

IceSkyLine 11-03-2003 07:41 PM

Sure is weighty

just add a 3.8 engine some blue gears and the hit clip and ull drive like a 2.0 ?
nice cruising speed with music (note: no bass, all highs)

Lord_Nick_D 11-03-2003 10:12 PM

back to your chop job idea
any plastic cars should be fine
I dont know i your like me and hate extra weight but if not you could use putty
