Xmods with Standard Controllers? Help
Anybody tried a standard perfex or M8 controller? The cystals are standard 27mhz and work in my sotck z with an M8, but no luck controlling the Xmod.

I would like to buy one and compare it to my mini-z but if regular transmitters dont work you can forget that, it should work just fine and I dont see why it wouldnt.

I don't see why either, as I said, the crystal sets work fine with a mini-z and either the perfex or M8 and can you beleive 6 pair for less than 20 bucks!!
I am aware that in the FM band there are differences between manufacturers and their cystal sets, but wasn't aware it crossed over into the AM 27mhz range. Live and learn.......... I am still at a loss as to why it doesn't work. Any electronics gurus out there who have the xmod and standard transmitters, clue us in, especially if there is a fix!! Thanks! |
I'm not a guru, but I believe the problem is the fact that xmods are not true propo and mini-z controllers and others are.

I suspect too
you can sort of feel the stepping of the wheel and trigger on the xmod controller as you manipulate them. like when you pull the trigger on a slot car controller.
the truly proportional signal of the perfex must be lost on the xmod. |
