Toys 'R' Us has a new line of 1:43 R/C cars called SuperSlicks, by Fastlane. $19.99 gets you one car along with the transmitter. They run on a 9V and some AAs. For $5.99 you can get a hop-up with different wheels, rims, gears, and motors. You can also buy twin-pack bodies. I bought the Viper with the Mini/Skyline combo, and the hop-ups. Haven't taken them out of the box yet...I'm saving it for tomorrow morning at work. :D

If anyone else has one, let me know what you think.

I have the Mini Cooper S, blue and red, want to get a white one too. They are really quick, and control well.

Have you tried the Viper on your S2 yet? I was hoping it would fit on my S1 but it is a little short. I am sure this would fit an S2 on it's shortest wheelbase setting (60mm)

So, I assume you have opened them by now... How do you like them?

do they fit on the spec 2 chassis?

The SuperSlicks seem to be very well made and work well. They will probably be overshadowed by the Zip Zaps SE, because they are available in two channels and do not have proportional speed and steering like the new Zips. The controller feels much better in your hands than the new Zip controller in my opinion. These cars are larger than Zips/Bits and slightly smaller than Epoch cars. The body detailing is near Epoch quality. They are great cars if you cant afford an Epoch. The big problem is that once you have tried a Zip Zap SE that works right, its hard to go back to non proportional steering and speed. Since you don't have remote speed control, you may have to try the different gear ratios and tires that come with the tuner kit to keep it from spinning out on real slippery surfaces. I had to go one step further to add more weight to the inside rear of the body to get better traction. 2 nickels stacked together did the trick for me. Make sure that if you do this to wrap the nickels completely in electrical tape so they won't short out the car's electronics if they fall off.
