quad cells safe?
2the very few people ive seen do quad cells had it running good for awhile but they always seem to have a pcb meltdown why is it just beacause there running it too long or he mass voltage?
|
The motor might be ok with quad cell, but its too much for the PCB (in general I would assume). So you need to do that transistor thing so that the board can run of normal, or slightly higher than normal and the motor will run from the 4 cells.

Actually the pcb handles 4 cells fine, but the motor will burn up faster then normal, I fried a MS 2.6 in 3 runs, the transistor will send more power to the engine, basically it hooks the batts directly to the motor. I would not suggest anymore then 4 cells thru the pcb also the lower rpm motors seem to do the best, I like zz blue motors.

Ripper, that.......thing...., is a monster! Keep it away from my cars! You might scare them! Nice work!!!
Have you tried a perfection motor in it (3.8 or 4.2)? They are more durable then a bitcharge/tomy motor. I know they don't have as much torque. WTF do you use for a body on that thing? |
oh you dont wanna know. trust me. the body's even more of a beast.

yeah hes had a old thread on that stretch
