hey ahh5hit could u help me do some things?

like could i send my nissan 350 z top to you so u could make a decent stripe or something?

SupraFreak00 07-10-2003 10:43 PM

dude....

dude why don't you just mask it and paint it yourself? its really not that hard... im about to make chrome paint on mine! really it only takes like 5 min. just mask the car the stripes you want and spray it down! but make sure to mask the whole car.

faulkbeets 07-10-2003 10:44 PM

cause i suck at it and i like the way he uses tape

*edit* now that i think of it i could do it but i would have to remove some paint first from one of my frist tries*it was horrible* how could i do this i heard you soak it in pinesol or someting

moshbmxa 07-10-2003 11:09 PM

If I can paint these things anyone can. Try it yourself a few times before you give up.

SupraFreak00 07-10-2003 11:12 PM

thats what i heard... not sure if it works tho.

faulkbeets 07-10-2003 11:28 PM

well im being more confident now because my frist one failed only because i didnt use a knife and i also used clear tape *stupid me* and it ended up getting under it a bit and bled

*edit* i just tinted my windows with electric tape and a pocket knife to get some practice in on maskin for later on and it came out well

*edit* so slot car clear cover bodies are how much??

Bad Company 07-11-2003 11:15 AM

I would be willing to help anyone out, but I don't think it would be worth the cost and risk to ship me your body, when you could do it yourself. It is not very hard, just take your time. The good thing about the tape is if you mess up, pull it off and do over. Dont cut your stripes while they are on the body. I lay out the tape on the back of adhesive paper, then cut and remove to stick on. You can also buy color decal sheets that you just cut and remove. You will be much more proud of your car when you know you did it. If you still can't do it, I will be happy to help you out any way I can.

I myself will be experimenting on masking and painting bodies.
