What? People post a ton! And this is nothing to make a topic about so I think a mod is gonna delete it.

ViperKid 06-27-2003 03:20 PM

isn't it weird that when people do post they post something stupid like this thread:D

Azimov 06-27-2003 03:32 PM

Nah, it's a valid question. Things do seem to have settled down a bit. I think there are a couple of reasons. It's summer time! Many folks are on vacation, outside more, and not buying as much indoor toys and gifts. I mean, after all, the holidays are when EVERYBODY feels they have to spend the money on stuff that brings in new blood. There's also the fact that new stuff is slow coming. When the new F&F stuff came out, along with new PCBs, and new motors, the boards were a buzzin. But, now there is a lull in new stuff coming to market. New stuff has to be shown, talked about, argued over, and bragged about. This increases traffic on the boards as well. Wait for new releases of Zips and Bits, winter time, especially right before the mandatory holiday spending glut, or some great new modding idea or conversion, and you'll see the boards light up anew.

For me its the opposite. When everyone is in the pool my alergic to chlorine ass is saving money for an Epoch. I feel the need to get indoor toys to take my mind off the heat & bordom. When I'm of age I'm gonna go somwhere more climatically balenced (in my part of CA it either roasts outside or it rains like hell) Plus I haven't been on vacation in close to 6 or 7 years

Agreed....after being active on most boards for almost a year now you notice the trend ( which isnt exclusive to Micro r/c 's.......)..but you knew that .

My only question is what else can possibly be done in the Micro format? The scale F & F cars at walmart intrigue me because of their realistic look matched with functionality. But beyond the aesthetic ( making te guts fit in the real looking body) what else can be done? I know the propo 1/64th is / was all the rage but when thats done ( well it is done but a better one) will the progress stall?

BAsically we could be asking this quetion again very shortly unless people continue to be amazed at bodies and motors which in my opinion..get old.

ZipRC 06-27-2003 04:00 PM

well, if more people got into customizing their bodies via airbrush, decals, dremel, x-actoing and other creative methods like me and alot of people at bitpimps.com (Please don't delete this post, that is not an advertisement for bitpimps.com lol), there might be mroe to to talk about hwen people post their bodeies for show and tell

Cubicle 06-27-2003 04:12 PM

Agreed again Zip.....although i must admit watching paint dry isnt the most exciting thing.

aperson 07-13-2003 07:34 PM

did anybody think that everybody is too busy working on mods & bodies to post anything
and watching paint dry is fun if you have nothing else to do

PANIT DRYING!? WHERE? lol

I can't really do anything this summer. Been trying to find a job but noone wants 13 year old...All I can do is sit on my ass & collect $10 a week :( I'm so pissed off..I don't want to wait til january to get a Micro RS4 or a 1:10...I WANT to work...Goddamnit I HATE ****ING CALIFORNIA....WORST STATE TO LIVE IN

aperson 07-21-2003 07:58 PM

its a lot better than living in New York. we get the coldest winters and the hottest freaking summers. and if you live out of a city you probably got a lot of freaking lawn to mow.

sessiz10 07-21-2003 08:42 PM

We just got hit with a tornado of all things up here. Ny weather is like a dice game. :D

slugbugg 07-21-2003 09:04 PM

Here in michigan the saying is : "If you dont like the weather wait a minute and it will change" (fairly accurate saying)

I think the slow down on posts here and most every site is just because most people are out enjoying the summer.I love the micro cars for winter fun and plan on doing a lot of racing this winter.

nouseforname101 07-21-2003 10:11 PM

The weather is boooooring here though.

If its cold why can't it atleast snow?

I live in a freakin mobile home park...there are no lawns to mow!

Lestertech 07-22-2003 12:10 PM

Ok you guys have got no room to complain at all I would love to live in California or New York. I would rather be roasted then frozen then living some where the chickens and cows outnumber the people 10 to 1. Also you get called hicks or hillbillies. And you pick up words like 'yall, over yander, or some other stupid mixed up word. Oh yeah and the weather is most strange It can go from snow to hail to rain sunshine all in a few hours. In case 'yall didn't know my state is the walmart capitol of the world. Ok if you don't know what state I live in you are crazy I live in Arkansas. Yeah the mini rc car population is real low down here I only know one guy who likes em. You could never find anybody to race down here because everybody else is out barn swingin or cow tippin (they are both really fun you should try it) well all I am saying is that people have there own way of life and it changes throughout the seasons the boards will probably fill up with posts once the zip zaps se come out.

P.S. I am not a hick nor a red neck
