nos bottle F@F cars

I went into SamGoody in the mall and they had the F@F cars in the nos bottle for cheaper than Wallmart sells them plus they had some 1:35 size ones too in three body styles. They were $14.99 and came in the same style packaging and the same remote with the turbo button.

Cool. They are good except rear axle.I got mine form exactly $17.47 USD excluding tax
:p

Its all about these NOS cars........

the ish on wheels they are ( with looks to match...at least the EVO i own looks NICE). Rear axle....what dont you like about it?

Between these and the MM R/C cars that will hit in July we have reached the pinnacle of non propo micro R/C. I cant WAIT for a drag between the Muscles and the NOS cars.......

If anyone wants my Bits/clones/ZZ's im selling them DIRT cheap so i can prepare for the wallet murder in one month. Motors/ accessories/ batteries/everything.

What do you have and how cheap? (which of course needs to be answered in the Trading forum)

MicroSpeed 06-21-2003 08:30 AM

nobody likes the rear axle because it jumps around a lot

slugbugg 06-21-2003 09:18 AM

I got some of those F&F nos bottle cars and they really do hop around but I think it is a combination of the tiny tires and the fact that the rubber is very hard I really think a different tire would help.

jerm781 06-22-2003 06:39 PM

the 1:35 size ones dont hop like the small ones do and they are just as fast with the turbo button

MTL 06-23-2003 12:39 AM

i WAS gonna buy one but i couldnt find the Skyline ;/
on the back i thought it had a model of it..but guess it was popular so they ran out
and the rims were ugly...but i bet you could swap them with something else right?

Cubicle 06-23-2003 07:32 PM

I will try a different rear tire ( despite the fact that i like the way it rides/handles just fine) just to see if there is a difference. After seeing 2F2F for the first time this weekend i can only PRAY that they release a 69 Charger or Mustang in this true scale. The MM's should be hot when they drop in July but an NOS 2F2F Charger would be sweet also.

Can anyone provide the car types available? I threw the packaging away. I specifically want to know if the Mitsubishi Eclipse Spider is available. The EVO is such a dead ringer ( i mean EXACT replica) of the movie version i can only hope they release a Spyder.........
Does the Johnny Lightening line carry any muscle cars that would fit these chassies..?

Racer9 06-24-2003 03:00 PM

Yeah my F&F EVO is awesome! The rear axle is only bad on smooth hard surfaces. The horribly hard tires are only really noticable on hard surfaces or uphills. Overall very nice! I had an RX-7 but it died so i exchanged it for the EVO.:) :) :) :) :) :)

Cubicle 06-24-2003 04:35 PM

I plan on making a small track this weekend ( different surface to see if there is any difference in performance). Someone post as soon as the y put different tires on their load OR some how soften the material. Havent had a chance yet.....

Hey Racer....how did your Rx-7 die? And how do you like your EVO or your former rx-7 in head to head racing / handling comparisons?

EVO kicks a**!

red2cwm 06-24-2003 11:16 PM

what are the mm r/c cars that everyone is talking about?

Cubicle 06-25-2003 02:13 PM

Muscle Machines ( diecast car line) is releasing an RC version of their vehicles. Micro rc that is ........

esp rocker 06-25-2003 11:24 PM

How much do the 1:35 ones cost? Are they available anywhere other than sam goody?
