dgmaster and epoch parts

i want some stuff for my dgmaster (rs) corvette, mainly front springs, and another body. Am i just dreaming? could i use epoch springs? has anyone done a four cell? Do i ask too many questions? i found out that this car must be made for carpet, becuase it handles much better on carpet then on painted concrete.

Hey, I did a 4 cell RS Viper. It was really fast!!! I tried a 5 cell, but the car didn't like it. it has a safety feature that makes it just sit there and flash the lights when too much juice is pumped into it. Don't go more than 4.

The Epoch springs should work. You know it's none of my business, but if you order a set of springs and a 4th cell with shipping + the cost of an RS Corvette, you'd be coming dangerously close to the cost of an Epoch. Epoch's are 10x, wait a minute, 100x better than the RS/DG's. Think about it before you pony up.

If you already plan on spending the cash on it, I would seriously look into retro-fitting a TinyRC R-Spec bit motor in place of the Radio Shack steering servo. This may help the handling out tons.

I used some of my epoch springs on my Dgmaster clone, however does not work to good, because the body is so light, the springs make the car to bouncy.......

I have to agree with chelboed, save the pennies for a epoch they are 100x better.........

What does slightly improve the car is epoch soft tire set and also adding more weight to the car to improve traction, wen i have time i will try to swap the servo motor out see if that improves the steering.......

VTHEO have u used and Epoch ?

no i havent used an epoch, me and my sister got my brother a corvette for his birthday, i figured that it would be unfair if i got something 100x better. so i bought another corvette to race him with. also does the epoch have a reverse? i have read somewhere that it has brakes instead. to replace the steering motor, how hard would it be? i think i would use a motorworks motor just becuase it is made to be hardwired. I do plan to get an epoch(after i get a job lol)

The Epoch does have reverse...it actually handles 100x times better since it is truely proportional, those DG and RS ones aren't 100% proportional, they have 5 points of turning, not digitally proportional.

Heck you wanna save some money, buy a SpeedRacer Epoch, they were going for as low as $30, which includes 2 bodies...but the are ugly. The Spec 1 cars are ok, not easy to add the 4 cell, and do not that the rear adjustment, plus the wheel wells are off and look odd, but they are 10-15 cheaper!

I recommend getting the Spec2.
