lower your car with glue and sandpaper

Im going to try this out, it's an easy way to lower your car besides doing the mods on QFM and removing the sway bar

Get some poly cement or similar glue and apply lots of it to the tab where it holds the body on at the front of the car, let it dry, then sand the top of the tab down. This basically "moves" the tab down further, which will allow the body to sit lower.

i might do it with the rear as well, but ill raise it (apply glue to the top and sand the bottom)

Sounds good chronic... let us know how you make out. Any pics would be good too.

OK.. just a warning, do not attempt to do this above technique to lower your car :p :p the clip completely snapped off.. anyone got any other suggestions as to how i can fix the front of the body to the car now?

Also, i have cut the front section out of the skylines body, and im going to mount an intercooler (well, a fake one :):)) in the cut out part.. you know what im talking about i hope :)

im going drag since this has happened, atm the front of my cars chassis is just sanded down to the plastic box part surrounding the steering setup (where the clip USED to be glued on)

How low do can you go???

Okay easy lowering mod which can be done in about 2 minutes.
Grab a bit of flat plastic of a simeler thickness to the bits front clip.
Place it on the edge of a table and offer up the front clip to it along a 'straight edge'.
Using the bit as a template draw around the existing clip with a fine pen or pencil and then cut the new bit of plastic out. Offer it up to the front clip and check for differences.(It should be exactly the same size as the existing clip, if its not file it down with a mini file until its done or use a really sharp knife to slowly trim it down.)
Next job is the most brutal. Take your sharp knife and remove the smallest part of the clip at the front of the bit (The narrow bit at the very front of the clip, not the bit where it gets wider).
Then glue the new bit of plastic to the bottom of the bigger peice of the clip. Slam on the body and you will notice that the front has lowered by about 2 mm.
Want to go lower, then use spacers between the Char-g's clip and the new clip.

Thanks for the advice Tortoise-Licker... I was actually toying with a similar idea, pretty much along the same line. I was modifing the body instead of the chassis, taking that same thin piece of plastic and gluing it to the upper part of the slot opening.

OOT: Damm kwikbb, I love your avatar, I have that gut feeling to make a personal Mini R/C avatar cuz this one is my Gundam one :D.

BTT: You know that you could simply file off the original tab and put a new one there. I think the glue technique is pretty simple, but its very messy.

Lemme go find the lowering body topic a few people has reffered to for more info, don't know why I was given the credit

there it is
