Picked up a couple of cheap Bit clones at Zern's tonight...

Going to bed soon, so it will be a brief post... does anyone frequent Zern's (an indoor flea market on the weekends) in Gilbertsville, PA? They are selling Bit Char G clones for 10 bucks a pop now. I got myself a Ferrari 360 and a red tractor trailer (looks kind of like a Volvo semi).

I'm probably going to swap the 49 mhz motor from the semi into my Ferrari, maybe the tires too... give it some attitude.

Comments? Better yet, make purchases recently? Feedback pleeez!

The continuing bit fan,

Recent clone purchase

Never been to Zerns...don't have 'em in Washingon State. I did pick up a bit clone at a mall yesterday, though. It's a 'Shen Qi Wei' make. It's not too bad. It'll take a Zip Zap motor, which is a sweet bonus. I put the 28K racing motor in it and it flew off the jump of my desktop qualifier course. http://roadraider.netfirms.com/images/wink.gif

They also had the Semi Trucks there. They're pretty fast, but they tip over a lot due to the topheaviness. The downside of my QSW bit is that it came with slicks. I'm able to change the rears with my zip zaps, but the fronts are smaller. ?? Not sure what I'll do with that one.

Nice course, checked out the link... I figure something like that would be great when you have a couple of friends over... just to shoot the breeze and have a good time.

My wife's playing with one of the bit clones I picked up just now... goofing around with our cats :)

p.s. how fast did the bit you swapped the engine into go (good guess in mph)?

Speed check?

I probably couldn't tell ya. Not even sure I would care to guess. haha...

I am 30 minutes away from there.

One of the better clones I picked up.

This is probably the best clone I got recently. It's a replica of a Microsizer. If you look closely, you'll see the black rubber roll bars. Now, what's cool, is that these actually work sometimes. If I hit a ramp at the wrong angle, it'll sometimes roll back over onto it's wheels.
