Wal-Mart Awesome RC
My Wal Mart has the Awesome RC cars!:D My Walmart is actually one in Rochester NY. I promptly bought a 27 mhz Lancer Evo from 2F2F. It is sweeeeet. I haven't had the kind of tail-happy action as Azimov. Instead I get soooo much axel hop the it doesn't run smoothly at all, even on smooth tile. The car looks great...lots of detail. The turbo button on the controller is sweet too. Definately a noticable difference. But even without the turbo on it about as fast as my Zip with the orange motor and green gears. The Zip still handles better though. I'm trying to figure out a way to reduce the axel hop. What the thing really needs is a rear suspension. I'm gonna post as many pics as I can. BTW, for those of you looking, I found it in the toy section near the models...NOT with the other RC cars. I almost walked right by. I wouldn't have found it if i wasn't looking for it. HUGE thanx to Azimov who found the things in the first place.
PS: I put some treaded tires on the rear to see if it would help. It did not. It comes stock with slicks. |

cool!
Are the bodies diecast?.....can you take off the wheels and the body?...what other cars did they have? |
I dunno wanna steal Azimov's thunder, cuz he went into great detail over this stuff too. Check this thread:
http://www.tinyrc.com/forums/showthr...threadid=10930 But here's your answers. The body is plastic, not metal. There are two "series," one series from the first F&F the other from 2F2F. The bodies from the first movie are the Supra, Eclipse, and RX-7. The 2F2F bodies are the Lancer, Supra, and Skyline. I wanted the Skyline but they didn't have it. They had all the others, and they were very sweet. As already pointed out, these are TRUE 1/64 SCALE! The wheels are very small. They do not come off. The body will come off, but the car comes fully assembled. I don't think the bodies are meant to come off regularly like Zips and Bits. The bodies actually have a slot in front like ZZ but a tiny screw in the back. They cost about $18. They are dual cell and two speed. I think they have mad potential, but mine as axel hop sooo bad it's not as easy to drive as a Zip. If it weren't for that, it'd be phat. The axel and gearbox is fully enclosed. The motor is enclosed too, except at the end. My motor has a brown plastic end. They look to be the same size as other tiny RC motors, but have + and - wires going to them, so swapping wouldn't be as easy either. But it's worth the money!!!!! More pics to come! |

i know there are a lot of different posts about these cars.... but are these batterys the same size as a bit or Zip battery? they look a bit fatter.
|
who cares i would buy the car just for the premade duel cell and put it in my bit
|
yea me too...otherwise i would mess up if i tried a dual cell.
