Parts for arcade type steering wheel boxes
 

Hi all,

I am building a track for 1:18 scale cars and want to build boxes with steering wheels and shifters for throttle like the ones at microreality.com and MaddMatt's site. I don't want to use plastic ones like Playstation, PC, etc.
I found steereing wheels and shifters at an arcade restoration website, but I don't know what to do for a shaft and bearing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
