Esc set up for mini X?

Ok, i followed the directions, tried several times, several ways, even reversed the forward reverse switch, but no matter what I do its not right. Im using a new Kyosho Perfex controller like several other people have had success with, but the best I can get it to do is reverse ok, but when I run through the forward speeds its fine til I have the trigger pulled all the way back, when i reach this spot the car wont move, but if I let off just a little it catches and will run. its like the controller trigger travels too far back. then wont go, So i rigged a trigger stop so it wont got all the way back. then its fine, anyone else had this problem and figured out what to do?????

Not entirely sure why this is but there seems to be a minor incompatibility between the Kyosho Perfex and Mini-Xs. This odd glitching is one of the symptoms. Sure hope you didn't buy it as a kit this way. Some people don't experience the glitching but a lot do trying to use the Perfex Tx with a Mini-X. That's why a Futaba is recommended. (As cheap as a Perfex but no glitching)

i have been using a TRAXXAS TQ transmiter and i have noticed the same prob with pulling the trigger all the way back... i just assumed that it had somthing to do with the ESC's setup system... i set it up 5 or 6 times and it always ended up with the same travel problem...

I found that twisting the servo wire reduced the glitching. I also added a servo wire extension and had good luck removing the glitching that way also.
