i'm new to this and am wondering...

i am new to the whole micro RC thing and was wondering if zipzap, char-g, and microsizer parts are all interchangable?

Hello.. and welcome.

microsizer is the same company as bit char g..so all their
parts are interchangeable.

the batteries, circuit boards, steering knucles, motors, gears, tires are all interchangeable. between them and the larger zz.

the bodies are not.

Welcome senior noob,

Make sure to check out the FAQ section on the Zip Zap forum as well as the Bit forum. Tons of great info for the beginners there.

No they aren't the same company, they are just the same size parts and all.

Microsizers and Bit Char-G are the same. They have other names elsewhere. Hobbico is the dist. for MS. They are both Tomy.

xatu 04-24-2003 12:32 PM

They both are TOMY? Well.. That's news to me! :p

PTink 04-24-2003 03:06 PM

yea, if you look on the bottom of a microsizer chassis there is actually the tomy name right by the little copyright "c" thing

xatu 04-24-2003 03:23 PM

Cool, never knew that... Can't look on the bottom of the chassis though, I don't have a MS :p

But, if they are made by the same company, why is the range crappier on MS's?

chelboed 04-24-2003 04:01 PM

Okay, I'll bet if you bought 50 Bit Char-g Subaru WRX in 27mhz, you will find that at least 25 of them are different with each other. These things are too small and cheap to be that consistant. My MS and Bit range are basically the same.

Microsizers are Tomy. If you notice the length ot the antenna on a Microsizer, it is shorter than the bits, that is what makes the difference in range.
