HELP! Car Stutters, etc.
Hi. I just got my first bit and I have some problems:
- Car will go for a few seconds, then stops and will not respond. A small tap on the controller and the car goes again, but only for a few seconds. - the car's steering stutters, or pulses so the the car makes jittery turns. -when you hold the car up and press the forward switch you rear wheels have this same pulsing, you can hear them spin up and slow down again and again. like: zzzzZZZZzzzzZZZZzzzzZZZZzzzz I replaced the batteries, checked for cripple caps (there is one in the car, a toyota supra and none in the controller). My car is 45Mhz. I guess that's it. these all seem related somehow. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Regards, Jake :( |
Stuttering usually associated with short range, but it sounds like you've already ruled that out.
Here's a few things to try: - Take the motor out, then put it back in. Maybe you didn't have a solid fit - Check for any pinched wires - Try running the car in a different area, you might have strong interference in the spot you're in (Microwaves, cordless phones, TVs...All emit low level radio waves) Good luck |
yep, all good points made my namuna
what kind of enigne are u running? you could also try to bend the small metal tip in the inside of the rear chassis slightly up that holds the engine in place...so that it is level with the gears |
I am not sure what you mean about the buzzing, but are your gears binding? run your fingers on your car's back wheels. They should rotate very freely. This might be part of your problem...dunno about the steering though. I had to return my first WRX cuz it was doing a funny thing with steering.

Two questions:
1) Does it stutter when you pick it up and hold it right next to the Tx? 2) Does it stutter if you remove the rear axle and step-down gear? |
