Loose Treads?
 

I read in a review of these tanks that the treads are loose allowing things to get couhgt in them such as carpet... are they really that loose?

Tracks slipping
 

There is some slippage of the tracks. This is probably necessary to protect the motor and gearing in some situations. Although the tanks have some climbing ability, it looks like they were really designed for relatively flat conditions. They do fall over easily when attempting to climb a steep incline or object.

Carpet?
 

But does it allow objects in between the wheels and the treads, possibly slowing it down?
