Wheres the thread...Muscle Machine Wheels...
Wheres the thread that has very in-depth instructions for putting the Muscle Machine wheels/tires onto a Bit? I tried the search, but couldnt find it. Anyone know?
|
yea there are a couple that deal with it. i have done a tutorial on it and have it on my website. i could post it here but i think it would take up to much space..
anyway heres two of the posts that deals with muscle machines http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread....7800#post87800 http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread....9178#post89178 and heres the link to my tutorial http://custombitbodys.home.attbi.com...monstermod.htm good luck. take some pics and show us when your done... |
Thank you very much. Your tutorial is the one i was thinking of. VERY nicely done. I'll take some pics when I'm done. Thanks again

do you have to do the tires on the ouside of the original rims ?
I dont have a dremal either so what would I do and do you put the mm front wheels on like normal just drill a hole or is there somthing special |
nope nothing special... i did realize that the rear wheels are slightly larger. coming from a muscle machine cartoon edititon... anyway. both the front and rear MM wheels are glued to the regular bit wheels. no holes needed to be drilled..
you could use an xacto knife to shave the mm wheel so that the bit wheel fits inside it a bit better, or you could shave the bit wheel so that it fits inside the mm wheel... you dont have to do either, but by doing so its easier to get a good flat fit on the two wheels so they dont wobble when they spin.. |
i just went out and bought one
I also saw these hot wheels tuner cars which had big wheels they has escalades supras civic and a green car do they work too |
i have seen them also. i havent tried one yet. hopefully i will be able to get one soon.. ive spent way to much money making bodys and i am broke... no money left... the next three bodys i got coming are the nomad for the bit, the truck, and im modifying a muscle machine woody to fit a zipzap.. once it fits im gonna do a silicone cast and make some resin bodys... and some wood textred decals for the sides of it.... should look good...i just need to get more silicone... theres the other problem.. im thinking of going to molding rubber, instead of silicone. it is cheaper. for the same price i get twice as much..

Now are the tires plastic or rubber?.. The look plastic and that mean no traction at all.:D
I know the super tuners are plastic. I have used pipes and spoilers off of them before. |
yea they are a soft plastic... and there is supprisingly enough grip to get going... and they kick ass on carpet. but if all your running on is the kitchen floor, you might want to give them a coat of rubber cement for grippy tires...
