Testing mah.

Is there a way to test the mah of a battery? I have a cell phone battery that claims it is 150 mah, and I want to test the battery. (there are 3 batterys, each one probably 50 mah) and I also have some phone batterys, I don't know what the mah of each is, and I would also like to test them. So, is there a way?

ok.

a little info on batteries.. 3 50mah batteries. only makes 50mah. mah = miliamps/hour (if i remember correctly). the only thing that can be added up when you put three batteries together is the voltage. so if your pack says 3.6v 150mah. it has 3 1.2v, 150mah batteries in it. i am also thinking about doing this mod to a zip zap.. as i think i can fit one of those things on or under the body...although i might have to breat apart the pack, and rebuild the pack, so there are 2 side by side and the third goes ontop in the middle of the two.. kinda like a little stack of firewood. i believe this would fit inside the zip. althought the pcb would be slightly raised.. time for a custombody...

what if the batteries are conneceted in parallel??? then 3 50 mah batts will be 150 mah but the voltage will remain the same, duh

true. but look at the battery he has... they will not be wired in parallel..

Yea, they are wired in series.... So, those batteries would be about 150 mah each?!?!? :D

Spanky 04-04-2003 04:40 PM

yes they are 150 each!

xatu 04-04-2003 04:41 PM

Cool! I think I will put them in my cars :D

what r the specs for these batts???

So far, the cell phone batteries are 150 mah each, and I have 3 of them. But, there is a down side to them, they are really heavy, and too big to fit in the stock bit body. I'm sure that it could work, but I don't know.

The other ones, I'm not sure of the mah, and they are still too big to fit in the stock bit body. They are rounded, while the other ones are rectangles, but the rounded ones are a bit bigger in diameter, and about twice as long as the stock bit battery.
