Please post some pictures with out the body's.
the illistrations I have seen so far of the car just dont show me what I want to know about these cars.. man I wish there was some kind of review of these things.. assembly picturs the works.. I just dont what to shell out the cash for this car with out seeing it in more detail. |
Here are some pics of my car:
http://www.cadre.org/rc/wws/ I also have one of the F1's -- but no pics of that yet. Let me know if you want me to take some. |
Thx for the pictures nice little car.. looks like it wouldnt be that hard to drop a 280 in.. sweet are thoes the stock or the "Wide" rear weels ?
what kind of batteries are you useing ? will AA batteries fit ? thx for your time !! |
There's a 300-size motor mount available from WWS that should give you the extra room you need for adjusting a larger size motor -- though these little things are plenty fast with a 180 size motor. I guess it depends on the sort of racing you plan to do.
They're the stock rears wheels. You could possibly figure out a way to wedge 4AA's in there, but the car is meant to take a 6 cell, 1/2 AA pack. |
1/2 AA ?
I have been looking around a bit for these cell's now.
hmm I can find lots 1/3AA but 1/2AA no luck so far.. where are you getting these cell's ? thx again. |
I have a couple of packs -- one is an Aktiv, one is an ABC, and a couple of practice packs made from surplus cells. The Aktiv came from www.intrepidrc.com. The ABC came from a local hobby shop. The surplus cells came from an electronics surplus place near me. They are ALL nicads -- I have no idea if nimh are available. Given that the WWS, ABC DTM SP, Aktiv, etc all use this size cell, I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess they shouldn't be that hard to source. Worst case, I'm sure you can order packs from Horizon. I would drop intrepidrc a mail and see what he can tell you.
The other option you have are the flat brick batteries from someone like Blind Batteries. I think you could assemble a pack without much difficulty. They are nimh, decent mah, and not too expensive. I'm not sure they still sell them, however... |
