New kyosho dnano track my garage for now

I am waiting on the 3 tracks to be delivered 1 official dnano carpet track that hobby town usa used, and 2 rcp track. If i can get enough people willing to race I will be holding races march 5 will be the first day It will be open to drive my goal is to have my building built by end of march. I have a lap counter kyosho brand for the dnano cars. I also will be using fire side software so i can run generic ic tags. I'm waiting on the generic tags to come in so I can test them on my losi micros, if they work I will have races setup for them also 1/24 and smaller scale cars. Well if you have any advice or any input or want info contact me at Dnano2011@gmail.com

good luck with your club... where are you sourcing the RFID tags (if you don't mind my asking)?

Where are you located?

RFID tags

I think the RFID tags need to be ordered in large quantities and they were sold out of the form factor we need when I checked last. (The source for these that I know of can be found on the Flipside Racing site; they have links to three sizes)

If you do manage to get them from another source, order extras and I'm sure both myself and Nanotrax will take quite a few! I have three bad transponders at this time already and am looking for a cheap replacement. (These are less than a dollar each ordered in quantity)

I'm using the ones from mouser.com I have the list of tags that are working with flip side. The scoring system I have is not the home edition.

I am located in wilmington, ohio. I am picking up the track tomorrow and hope to get it setup by tuesday. Just have to get my school work finished. but the RFID tags are on mouser.com

they have 763 instock

I will be running flipside software on the scoring. I am talking to a buddy to build a website to mimic the dnanorace.com site from hobbytown to do online scoring. Not sure how well it will work out yet though.

Re: RFID tags from Mouser.com

I was going to buy those until I saw the size (76MM x 45MM or 3" x 1.77")

...they wont fit under the d'NaNo chassis and the RFID is very sensitive to any bending; I just measured the stock tags and they are about 5/8" wide by about 1-3/8" long. These are more than double ....Am I missing something here?

Here's the exact specs from the Mfgs. website

Antenna size 45 mm × 76 mm (~1.77 in × ~2.99 in)
Foil width 48 mm ± 0.5 mm (1.89 in ± 0.02 in)
Foil pitch 96 mm +0.1 mm/–0.4 mm (~3.78 in)
