Well... I guess I'll get this started

First I'll say when the dNano was announced I was really excited. The built in transponder, online racing, the gyro, 2.4Ghz… the list goes on and on (I have Epoch’s), but I wished they had gone 1:32. I have been looking for a reasonable mass produced 1:32 RC since the Micro-RS4 was released. I bought the ABC 1:32 and the 1:32 CRT (which I still have), but without a major vendor behind them spares were always a concern. Still the possibility of transplanting slot car bodies was just too tempting. The sheer number of available models is incredible. I would wager that if you went to the Mini-Zracer.com, pulled up the bodies wish list forum, you'd be able to find nearly 90% readily available as a 1:32 slot car.

So with that being said I keep a watchful eye on the internet trying to gather any additional information I can come up with regarding the HPI 1:32. From what I can tell they seem to be launching a slot car in conjunction with the RC

before you get to excited about the vast catalogue of slot car bodies, thre is still the same chance that they would be just as difficult to use as they were on the crt for example. i have not seen any information on the adjustability aspect of the chassis which is crucial to the use of slot car bodies.

another thing to consider, since hpi is pulling these from thier own 1:32 slot car line, there is no gaurantee that they will match the scale of other manufacturers. some tend to fudge the scale a bit to get them to fit a given wheelbase.

i'm hoping it will be that simple but few things usually are. be hopefully, but remain somewhat skeptical is my approach. we just don't have all the details yet.

i wish i still had my crt.

They will fit Carrera and Scalextric.
its 1mm off, which isn't visible on some bodies at all. On other it is.
I fitted a Audi R8 on mines. 1mm off on the rear, which i will fix by making a new Tplate. So i get more rear traction any way.
