1 Attachment(s)
DansAm Bodies will soon be available in the Shop. Any questions about these products may be posted here. Here's a pic of the initial product, which is a sheet of 8 clear bodies:

BoostedLoser 09-24-2002 12:40 PM

Hey Tiny,
What scale are those? Been a while since you first posted here... are they availible yet?

dansambodies 09-24-2002 07:02 PM

they have been available forever!!
They are designed around the bit charg so they are 1:70th scale. but because you cut out the wheel wells, there is a lot of leeway so It probably would fit other sizes as well. Tiny rc does have them in stock.

BoostedLoser 09-24-2002 07:05 PM

Unfortunatly they wont fit on my car... its 1/24 scale!
Are you gonna make 1/24 scale bodies by chance? I could send a mold of a Fiero (a car im REALLY interested in) to you if you could do those?

dansambodies 09-26-2002 04:19 PM

actually I could do it...but
I have been toying with doing bodies for the mini x but have decided that american 1:25th scale plasic model bodies fit so well I decided there is really not a market for them. I made a 2 model bodies for a mini x out of a revell corvette 1:25 and a knight rider trans Am. you cant use the poles that come with the car though. you have to drill som screws in the lower side of the body.

Hope I was some help

binaryterror 10-18-2002 01:58 PM

What are the 8 cars on the sheet?

dansambodies 10-18-2002 05:09 PM

bodies on the sheet
We sell them by the sheet. On one sheet you get 8 different cars,
they are the pickup truck, muscle car, bug, type r
hatchback, vette, stang, tegi, focas.

steve1970 10-20-2002 09:47 AM

The muscle car, truck, etc...are they actual licensed brands? Or just generic "muscle car" or "truck" etc.

Also, is any type of mounting kit needed and/or included?

dansambodies 10-22-2002 05:17 PM

Info on the bodies
Yes the mounting kit is included. Yes everything there is generic, but frankly can be painted up to look like many different cars, its all to your imagination and skill. Being that they are clear bodies to be painted even if they were a particular car there looks still would depend heavily on the paint job.

dansambodies 11-10-2002 07:42 PM

who has them
Tiny RC carries them. E mail Tinyrc

andy51289 11-26-2002 04:38 PM

Are the wheel wells marked where to cut them?

dansambodies 11-26-2002 06:34 PM

No the wheel wells are not cut out as some cars (like zip zaps) have wheels in different locations. for the record most of the bodies fit zip zaps like 5 of them or so, some are a tight fit though.
keep in mind the molds were made with Bits in mind.

TypeR 12-13-2002 06:11 PM

New product
Well first Id like to see some of the "old" product start to really move. Then we will talk about the next batch. Frankly I feel there allready is a lot of swoopy stuff out in the market (NSX and the like). I wanted to take care of the people who have common cars and wanted a mini me version. I have lots of friends in my real car club and I went by what they drove and we made mini me versions.

some cool dansambodies after paint, dont be a winp its only paint!!! Your car could look this cool \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/

2. How hard/easy is it to cut? (Can you do it with skissors?)

PWalk 03-09-2003 03:17 PM

Before I buy a sheet, I'd like to hear from anyone else who has plunked down the $25.

Plus I noticed it's held on with velcro mounting? Interesting
