toe=lower speed

well i have skied before and i wont lie(i suck) but the begginer stop is shaping your skis like a triangle (pizza as my trainer mentioned) and i found that addidng more cam will push out the back of the wheel possibly slowing it down wen i get and install my awd kist i will test different cam and come back here with results

What are you talking about? :confused:

im sorry i see that i wasnt clearsimply put more cam means that the fron wheels will tilt inward slowing the car down much as a way to stop while skying

RC 2NR 03-01-2004 09:57 PM

I don't know why your calling it "cam", but what you described is called "toe".

no, he's referring to camber which means the top of the wheel is tilted inward or outward. toe refers to the front of the wheel pointing in or out.

here's an explanation of toe, camber, and caster: http://www.ozebiz.com.au/racetech/theory/align.html btw, the last picture depicting the camber examples at the bottom of the page, when they say (TOP RIGHT), they mean (TOP LEFT) and vice versa

in the xmod, the front wheels exhibit no camber and slight caster. toe is adjusted with the different tie rods. in the rear, because of the simpler suspension design compared to the front, the suspension induces increasing camber as the wheel is pushed up

o im sorry then it is toe im talking about that higher toe means more / \ and that slows you down

RC 2NR 03-02-2004 08:11 AM

With that analogy you were talking about camber and toe.

spinitsidewayz! 03-03-2004 02:13 AM

if ur talking about camber i dont think it would affect speed. and toe... it wouldnt make much of a difference on xmods cause the tierods allow alot of play so they would be able to straighten out when you accelerate. might have an effect on awd?
