LEGO wheels

I recieved a whole shwack of LEGO wheels for christmas, and just now I decided to put these wheels that look like slicks on an axle, then on my car. Currently I only have one wheel on, but I will post pics once it is finished. The only reason why I used the LEGO wheels is because they are wide, they look sorta like the ones off of the pullback cars, and they are really grippy.

let's see them!

xatu 02-20-2003 04:10 PM

Lol.....

Anyways, I'm not sure how I am going to get the other one on, the axle is much smaller than the inside of the hub, but I'll figure something out!

midget_man1387 02-20-2003 04:24 PM

yeah, I have some phat rims that would be....phat, but they're from a modifiers kit...., so the WHOLE thing is hollow!

xatu 02-20-2003 04:26 PM

That's why they invented glue, and..... whatever else you can shove in there to make it fit :D

midget_man1387 02-20-2003 04:30 PM

lol

Well, I actually lost my axel, and i think my axel gear(luckily i have other axels/tires, rims, and such, but i don't wanna take them apart)

**EDIT** I have my axel gear, just no axel by itself

LOL don't get carried away i did this to deal with compleate boredom i had a spare kit racer axel and i saw some huge mega blocks wheels and the rest is history it doesn't drive very quicly so it's just for novelty.

xatu 02-20-2003 05:18 PM

 That's intense! Does it even drive????

dabigpig 02-20-2003 05:35 PM

dual cell 2.6 motor kitracer rpm gears, it goes pretty darn slow but at least it moves which is more than i expected

xatu 02-20-2003 05:38 PM

Lol, what the hell were you smokin when you made that? It musta been good....GIMME SOME! :D

xatu 02-20-2003 05:40 PM

Ok, in order for my other wheel to fit on the axle, I am putting model glue in the inside, and then letting it dry. When it is dry, I will shove it on the axle, and glue it on there!

midget_man1387 02-21-2003 09:55 PM

we wanna see them, lol

xatu 02-21-2003 10:26 PM

So do I, but it's not working.... The wheel fell off the axle twice, and it didn't work as I planned.... I put the glue in, and it just smeared all over the base it was on....

midget_man1387 02-21-2003 10:33 PM

try hardening clay, maybe put the axel into the clay and let it harden

xatu 02-21-2003 10:35 PM

Don;t have any clay.... I could probably use that stuff yo uuse to fill in holes in the walls, but I'll do that tomorrow...

midget_man1387 02-21-2003 10:39 PM

caulk? or drywall? I'm sure that'd work

xatu 02-21-2003 10:41 PM

Yea... I'll figure it out... Don't worry!

midget_man1387 02-21-2003 10:45 PM

alright, definitely keep us updated

xatu 02-21-2003 10:51 PM

I will DEFINITELY keep you updated on this.

One problem with the wheels is, they are bout the same size as the front ones, (will reduce speed) and they are wide... REALLY wide. They look kinda goofy :p

rmyc 02-27-2003 06:16 PM

i have already solved the problem.. will post pics tomorrow morning when i'm at home

xatu 02-27-2003 07:50 PM

Ok.

I got it hot glued on, but I'm going to do a better job of it, because it was all wobbly, and I need to put a spacer in too.....

AUDI-TT 02-27-2003 07:52 PM

k i did the same thing but with much smaller lego wheels and they werent slick they had like lil bumps, ahh man it worked soo well, the speed increased too cuz they were slightly larger than stock wheels the lil xtra wait also gave me much neede traction on my dual cell!! i was having the time of my life until my sterring wires broke!!!

xatu 02-27-2003 07:55 PM

Yea, I know which ones you are talking about. These ones of mine are MUCH better, because they are more grippy (is that even a word?!?!) and about the same size as the stock rear wheels.

AUDI-TT 02-27-2003 07:57 PM

cool

im gonna try that on my new car im getting this weekend, do u have a dual cell on ur car?
