New Hobbico Releases

Hobbico will soon be releasing Sport Series RTR MicroSizers. They will include a 1.6, and one of six colored transparent S2000 bodies. They will retail for around $20. Also coming soon is the Auto Modellista Set (in both 27MHz and 49MHz versions). Expected arrival date is late Feb.

shanly 01-11-2003 12:32 PM

finally, but those things are going to be hard to get ahold of around here, especially when the only good place to buy microsizers is at a mall.....

tinyrc 01-11-2003 02:02 PM

Well, like all MicroSizers products, you'll be able to find them here at the Shop!

i think your thinking about the tomy booster sets those come without a controller. The Auto Modellista set is based on the video game it comes with a regular set with four bodies (yellow supra, blue rx-7, red r32, black r34)

Ghost of Akina 01-12-2003 01:02 AM

oh yeah my personal opinion about the release date of the Auto Modellista set is they should wait for March because thats when the game gets release here in the states and it would cause more hype for both the game and the Microsizer set

VuN86 01-12-2003 06:26 PM

Micorsizers Sport at Target!

I saw a few of those new kits at my local Target. The price is $19.99. The box is a little smaller than the regular microsizer kit and the controller is hidden from view (sorry, no pics at this time).

well there aren't any reviews really becuase it isn't out in America until March and the type of racing game is like Gran Turismo but they said the tuning is better (custom paint jobs, decals) and the graphics i like em but probably some people dont its cell shaded like Sly Cooper

Silent_NightR34 01-19-2003 06:25 PM

whats system is Auto Modellista for???and where can u get it..it sounds really nice

johnrtse 01-19-2003 06:37 PM

Hey benjun!!!!

What aisle were they in at your Target store?

I know at my local Target stores that the RC sections are now VERY SMALL; located in the diecast car aisle.

Just wondering if my Targets will get any at all.

Same place as before

You're right, it's a small section. I was surprized to see them there at all. Usually there's a small space between bigger R/C toys where the microsizers would be. This time they were there.

takumi_drifto 01-19-2003 10:28 PM

i have never seen a MS at target.. probably because i got into them in december, and u no, the xmas rush and stuff.

Auto Modellista is for Playstation 2 and right now you can only get it imported if you live in the states because it comes out in March

nghts 01-19-2003 11:29 PM

it's also going to be playable online if you have the modem hook up for ur ps2. I love the cell graphics

rabbitsperm 01-21-2003 11:38 AM

i picked up a ms sport yesrerday at my local super target for 20 bucks. The only thing i have to compare it to is my bensu clone and wow what a difference. I stuck my 2.6 and blk heat sink from my kit racers and the thing flies. It will run circles around my zz turboed rare earth full sized wheel bensu all day. Very good quality. My only complaint is the stupid clear body. But i quess its time i try out my painting skills.

Mr.Bigfish 01-21-2003 03:04 PM

in the april 2002 issue of OPM there is a small PREVIEW of it with only a couple of screenshots. they didn't give out very much info except that they saw the game in motion and said it looked good.
in the screenshots the cars look very cartoonish.

VuN86 01-21-2003 05:08 PM

wait u got a ms sport???? i thought they come out in late feb isn't that what tiny said? did the release them earlier then planned?
