Philly Area Racers?
 

Hey everybody,

I just got a couple of these cars err... clones I guess for Christmas and was wondering if anyone on these boards were from the Philly area.

I haven't been able to find any shops in this area for Bit-chars or microsizers so if anyone has any ideas where I can look I'd greatly appreciate it. All the shops around here have nothing but clones.

I used to live about a mile away from there, have to check it out.

I live outside of philly. I am about 15-20 miles away.

Hi Philly people, I was at the allied hobbies at the Oxford Valley mall last night. They have almost all the microsizer stuff you could want, even the 2.6 motor. Also the Target at the Neshamy Mall has cars for $19.99. Allied wants $29.99...

I went to the Allied shop in Roosevelt Mall today and they had plenty of stuff there, go check it out.

I'm right around the corner from that Target in Neshaminy so I'll have to go check it out this week.

If anyone wants to setup a night of racing, or know of a place to race in the Philly area post it here.

F.Y.I. The Granite Run Mall Allied Hobbies has closed, replaced by a McDonalds, so don't make the trip or you'll be disappointed.

the allied hoddies in the burlington center mall is sold out..nuttin..not even a trace of anything that deals with them...i think they restock like twice a month. last time i went there they only had 1 left....my favriot..a 27mhz blue skyline...i already had a 49 mhz and need somthin else...so i bought it:D

about 10 minutes from philly, a race would be cool, i would like to race some people.....i am sick of racing all of the people here, it gets redundant. Lets get this set up peoplz!

We could set up a drag race sure! I don't have any bits setup for one but what the hey, I'll build one then.

Question: What type of track would everyone like to race on?
I'm partial to road courses, but I'll build others as needed or requested.

I'm 5 minutes away from Franklin Mills Mall in NE Philly. Woodhaven exit of I-95.

I'm about 20 minutes from Oxford Valley Mall myself.

Theres got to be a place in the area to race I would think. If not I'll build something.

I know this is an old post, but what the heck. I figured I'd give it a try. I'd be up for informal, organized racing. I'd like to find a group of people in the area (I'm in Willow Grove) to race bits, or Epochs or zip zaps or Mini-z's or Micro RS4's. ANYTHING, so long as we all had a good time. I used to race slot cars and had a ball, but finding a place to organize RC is a bit harder... I'd even buy new stuff if I knew there was going to be a group of us racing at regular intervals. Once a month would be cool, and instead of meeting at a public place, with Epochs or Mini, zipzaps, etc, anyone can create a dedicated track for use in their basements. We could travel from month to month to each others house for racing.

I used to do this with slot cars and it was quite enjoyable. We'd kick in 5 bucks each, buy some hoagies and race all day. Then we email trash to each other until the next race. I'd LOVE to do the same kind of thing with R/C... Any takers in Philly or surrounding suburbs? Any platform!

I haven't been racing the bits in a couple of months due to the fact that there was really no one around me who were into them.

I'd be really interested to get something started.

i'm in Trenton, NJ and still interested. there's a post at rcmod.com about racing in NJ, PA area. there's about 6 people there that look like that might want to play too.
