Nakamichi Racer Wanted
 

Anybody got a Nakamichi Racer that I could buy???? It seems that the walmart here doesn't have em and I really want one for the parts.. Somebody hook me up....

I'm heading up there in a few minutes. Last time they had the Motor Works and supposedly they have them (at least the dumb person who answered said they had 3 in stock. I'll post back my findings!

The reason I want the Nakamichi Racer is for the rims. I gotta have these for my project car... Let me know what you find, and thanks.

I found they had 3 Motor Works cars, and none of the Nakamichi's i specifically asked for :(

Sorry guys. I'll definately keep a look out, however, I think think its going to be regional in what Wal-Marts carry which clone...

I have one but I already broke it. THe rims are awesome. In order for me to charge it I had to put those 2 metal things at the bottom of the car on top. So i charge the car upside down. I'd sell it but I have no clue on how to receive money or where to get a box to ship the car.

Hey Payaso. I got the rear wheels off my Nakamichi racer but I am having a little trouble with the front ones. They don't want to come out of the nuckles.I will try it again tonight. I have to study for semester exams:rolleyes:

ok, sounds good. Do you have any ZipZap wheels? I want to put them on my n-racer. I am also going to try and lower it. If you do not have zipzap wheels thats ok. Do you have PayPal? that would be the best way to send payment. Well, I have to do more studying. I hate finals.

was 16 bux shipped to me from that guy on ebay (www.baseballcardepot.com) he said he shipped it on the 10th i barely got the ups conformation thingy (just the e-mail) the package hasnt even been picked up to be sent to me yet, so i dont know, i paid him through paypal.

I got mine pretty quickly since I live only a few hours from him so I wouldnt worry. One thing you'll prob want to do when you get the NR is change the back tires. They are pretty hard and when run on a kitchen floor in turbo-mode you tend to just do doughnuts. I put on the slick tires from the F&F kit on it and it now will maintain it's direction when I launch into turbo. I'm currently adding on a AC/DC jack to the controller so I dont have to rely on batteries.

I also ordered from the baseball guy and expect them (4) today. Can't Wait!!! If they do arrive today, it only took 6 days to get. Not too shabby, but the shipping was pretty cheap, so I can't complain. Getting the tracking info is pretty sweet. I Never realized how detail UPS' site was.

nmine were sent out on the 14th and i ordered on the 9th, expected to arrive on the 21st :( I wANT IT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOW lol... now i need some tanks zip zaps a submarine some wild char-g and a semi truck. and i think illbe happy lol

Got my four new Nak's today as predicted by UPS. Haven't had a chance to play with then. I'm a little upset with them though. I was hoping the PCB's were the same size as the MS's. I guess you can't have turbo and eat it too. Rims are VERY sweet. Does anyone know if the MS turbo's PCB have stayed the same size?

I am going to assume the MS turbo is the same as a Bit Booster.

So its the same size board.

Welp, I got to try one of my Nak's out. Very dissapointed! The bodies and rims are very nice. The performance stinks on the one I'm trying. Speed is "almost" as bad as a stock ZipZap. I can't even get it to go straight. Constantly wants to do right donuts. I'll give another one a go tomorrow. I pray the rest aren't like this one. When I "finally" get it to sit on the charger, it's not wanting to charge. Light goes on and then right back off. May be the batteries though. I'll try again with new ones.

funny your getting that 'light on/off' thing as I had this happen to me when I tried powering the transmitter/charger with a 4.5v 300mah adapter.. Apparently there was'nt enough mah and the charger would disengage. thinking the power was insufficent. I upgraded to a 500mah adaptor and it's fine.. R you using ni-cads or weak batteries? if your speed is comparible to a zip zap then something is very wrong. mine is so fast in turbo mode it makes me laugh. As for doughnuts you really need to put on softer tires on the back if you got em.

This is kinda offtopic, but what does Payaso mean. IS it a clwn or something. When I see the word payaso there is always a clown. I think I am going to buy some of those homie guys, those are funny. What supermarjet did you get them from? thanks

Put in brand new AAA's and it charged this time, but I still wasn't impressed with the speed. My A/C charger pooped out on me so I couldn't try that method. I'm going to open another one. Hopefully I have the same results you did. I'll keep you posted.

Ok, just tried a second car. Now I see what you mean. Turbo is rather fast. But, even this car donuts to the right. Well...it's not even a donut. It's like it's sitting evenly on a pin and just doing a perfect 360. Never seen anything like it. The really bad part is these are a bugger to get in and out of. I'm almost guaranteed to break a steering wire trying to fix this problem. For the rims alone though, it was worth the $11 I paid for each of them. Even though I asked the guy for all four different bodies and he only sent me three, two of the same kind.

LOL.. Yep, you guessed it. payaso means clown in spanish. I'm such a smart ass with my dominican family that it just kinda stuck....

I get the homies in any supermarket in the gum ball machines or off ebay

You really gotta put soft tires on the rear, its changes everything. I was intimidated by the wire layout but I've taken it apart to toy with the steering several times. first you un-latch the circuit board and gently lift it up a bit. The front assembly cover pops off simply by bending it downward. Youll probably have to repostion the battery contacts on the bottom of the car when you re-assemble as they tend to get pulled out. I put in a rem and bent the spring a bit to correct the right veering but it still could use a double spring mod. These cars are no match for a bit as far as handling and overall qaulity but they do offer a certain level of fun with theyre intense speed. It's just a neat car to have when your in the mood for some carefree zoom'in.

Added some tires off of a Kit Racer and MAJOR improvement. Gracias! When I took off the Nak's tires, I could see just how hard and plastic those tires really are. Worst tires I've ever seen on a Micro. It's by far not my favorite clone, but for the $11 pricetag...I'm good to go.

I would like to trade or buy someones nakamichi racer body. I al looking for a Jeep or SUV. I have the yellow Sports car. It looks like a Skyline from the front and a Gloria from the back. I really want a SUV or Jeep for a project I am planning on doing. My body is in excellent condition. No a scratch on it. Here is a picture of my body.

Hey can anyone confirm if the NR crontroller will work with a Microsizer of the same frequency? I was thinking about getting a speed kit from TinyRC and would like know if it would work ok.

I tryed, It works if you push backwards and it does not work when you push forward. For some reason a there is not link thing to attach a picture so I cannot sho you the yellow body.:(

hmm thats weird.. perhaps if I reversed the motor wires. oh well.

Sorry, I just noticed somthing, I had the controller on turbo mode. On normal mode a Microsizer will go backwards when told to go forward and when you push backwards it goes forward. A zipzap will got forward when pushed forward and backwards when pushed backwards. I do not have any clones that are 49 mhz so I cannot try it with a clone.

Looks like this one got by me for a while. It worked out perfect. These are the best cars for parts. Thanks again. I'm gonna hook up the dual batts in one of my cars next. I think there's a pic in the skyline gallery.
