Cheapest & Best place to get Bit Char-g
Ok, I have several ZipZaps, and a MicroSizer.
Now I want the Bit Char-Gs... for the extra frequencies [I want to set up a track that myself and friends can race on, all together - or at least 4 or 5 of us!] Where is the best place [and cheapest] to buy the Bit Char-Gs? Has anyone had luck with Cosmo Games [and how quick are the shipments sent out?] Thanks alot for any info! -DraKhen99 |
I don't which place is the best or the cheapest but, you can go check yourself at the following links:
www.toyeast.com www.driftkingshop.com www.sigmaautomotive.com/TechieMon/bitchar-g.html Thats the second time for today that I give links:) |
Ok, I found that ToyEast has the best prices... has anyone ordered anything from them? I want to be sure they are reputable before I drop a load of money on them :c)
Their prices are FAR below Drift King and Cosmo Games... and their shipping prices aren't too bad either... how long does it take a shipment from ToyEast to get to USA? Maryland, USA? Thanks again! |
Actually, I did order from them.
The order took 5 days to arrive in my town in Greece. Unfortunately I don't know how long it will take for US. But I can assure you that the packaging was very good and everything arrived intact.:) So if you want my advise then, buy from them. |
Due your homework! I found Toyeast selling clones with some poor and deceiving advertising. It's going to be tough getting them for under $26 or $27 dollars a shot.
I purchased through Cosmogames simply for the selection and they came in short order packaged perfectly. -AceQ- |
Well AceQ, I can say that your statement has me a little worried, but then again, Zakkorn's statement is positive. I will wait and see what happens. I got the Express shipping, so I should be able to track the package in its journey to me, which should be interesting. As for deceiving advertising and clones, I dunno, I *ordered* Tomy Bit Char-Gs from them, so that is what I am expecting.
Zakkorn, what did you order from ToyEast? And AceQ, where did you hear about them selling clones? Thanks again! |
I've ordered from Hobby Link Japan at http://www.hlj.com before. Some people on the board have mentioned problems with them, but my order went just fine. You have to realize before you order though, that it can take a while to get your order. It took mine about 3 weeks to arrive. I got one of the yellow bB's (57mhz) from them for $10. Can't beat that :)
Right now they have the black bB on sale for about $12 http://www.hlj.com/cgi-local/hljpage.cgi?TOM62852 Unfortunately it's 27mhz so it won't give you an extra frequency in addition to your amercian cars. They do have a bunch of other cars for $23-$30. |
order from toyeast
its fast and not all of them are clones... they are cheap because they are located in hong kong. just because they are cheap does not mean theyre clones... i ordered twice from them. i ordered the sprinter trueno tuneup box and a project d set the first time, and a digi q and the skyline history set the second time, both came within a week. btw i live in hawaii. so it should be pretty fast.
|
i say skrew looking for the cheapest...just look a few places and get one, your still gonna have to worry about shipping...so just add aproxx $5 to the cost and thats how much its gonna be
i bought mine for $39.99 at almost retail price...but i bought it at an asian import store..so no shipping for me :D anyways ...chek http://www.toysnjoys.com/bitcharg.html they have the Z at a good price |
My first Bit was from Toyeast, also with a Tyre set, a 2.2 Motor and a Light-Mod set.
The other Bits were from different ebay sellers because I couldn't find them at that time at Toyeast. I agree with dumboi that because they are cheap doesn't mean that they are clones. And if you check the page about Radio Control at Toyeast, you will see that they have Tomy's cars links in a different box than the clones. |
Yeah... I saw the different links to clones on ToyEast's website... I went straight for "Tomy"... and I double-checked my order, and all the bits I ordered say Tomy on the web site and Tomy on the package pictures, so I'm pretty sure they're gonna send me Tomy Bit Char-Gs :c)
|
Oh hey, I just checked ToyEast's web site and through them, ended up at some shipping "Track & Trace" page.
The shipment was shipped 10/24/02, and should arrive 11/29/02. Whatever happened to fast shipping? Or is this some "catch-all" date that will be updated to say, sometime next week? |
buying...
after doing alot of research and trying to contact these online stores.
in my opinion... sigmaautomotive is by far the best...his website is up to date with what's in stock...if it is not mark out of stock...when you try to order it will not let you. which is nice cause some sites let you order first then tell you it's backordered. the person who runs the site is great at contacting you...either by phone, email or on their message board. myself and 3 others ordered cars, bodykits, and motors. Nexus |
I think that the Track & Trace arrival date is just a "guess".
Because mine said that shipped 10/4 and that it would arrive 16/4. But at the end it arrived 9/4. It took 5 days. I remind you that Im leaving in Greece, Europe. I don't know how long will take for you at US. But to other people that they ordered from HongKong to US took them about 7 days. So don't worry;) |
As mentioned by some of the people above, they may be a fine and credible source. I just suggest you ensure you know what you are purchasing and watch for deceptive links.
I'm not attempting to say they did a switch with the products, if you see the Tomy Bit Char-G in your basket; you should be good to go. -AceQ- |
Thanks, AceQ!
Yeah, I have double and triple-checked the items and all that, and I have checked against a thread I saw on this forum somewhere about what to look for to spot fakes... the pictures all appear to be the actual Tomy Bit Char-G cars, so I'm pretty sure that's what I'm getting. [Returns to ToyEast to track shipment, for the 20th time today :c) ] |
I've ordered from toy east several times, always got exactly what I ordered and arrived sooner than expected and well packaged. You should have no problems.
|
Whoo-hoo! Nice, positive response... just what I wanted to hear! Thanks! And I certainly *hope* that my package gets here before November 29th! [their "estimated" arrival date]

I got mine from ebay but with the 1.0 stock motor.
And I just replace its motor with a 3.0 that I had. Im pretty sure that you can still find one. |
If remember I got it for $32 including shipping.
But here is a link to ebay with what you want exactly: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1779250780 I found it a while a go while, I was looking for other bits:) |
does anyone knoe the exact shipping cost for HLJ?? i want to order one of those cheap Bits for 12$... but i dont want to pay 15 for shipping... does anyone knoe their charges???
|
from my experience, if you order one BC-G, it should cost you 700 Japanese Yen. That's $5.64 US Dollars as of today.
|
You really need to keep on those guys. Because if you don`t they will take advantage of you.
|
i dont think they are the cheapest but they ship within the us for free and are quick. this lady i work with got some cell phone stuff from them in 2 or 3 biz days. they have clones to.
they got all kindsa freaky stuff |
Update: My ToyEast shipment passed through U.S. Customs at 12:30 am, Oct. 29, 2002 :c)
Yay for 35 and 45 mhz, headed my way! Methinks the package is in New York, which means my package will be here either today or tomorrow :c) Yay for me! |

Hogjowlz,
Thanks for the link to the website...ordered the bit today. I'll post a report on service, but so far so good... |
Sorry about that, should be fixed now... lemme know if it is still too long :c)
|
thank you :) Its fine now.
|
Well, I got my 3 Bits and 2 Motors today :c) Yay for me!
As for import taxes/duties/etc. there were NONE! So, I spent $108.10, and if I had bought them from my LHS, the cost would have been $146.95 [$39.99 for each car, plus I'm guesstimating $9.99 for each motor, since I've never seen them have motors in stock!]. This is a grand total savings of $38.85 USD. Wow, that's as much as a new car! [which I have ordered, from HobbyImports, the Fairlady Z] Oh, and for those of you watching, I ordered from ToyEast.com, and it took exactly 7 days to get here... not too shabby! |
You see, I was right about toyeast.:)
Now its my turn. Im waiting for my biggest order. The 3 Hero Cars Collection Bits One Tire & Gear set One Stabilizer set Two Colour Tires set Two 3.0 motors Ooph! I hope I haven't forgot anything:D |
I did a search on the U.S. Customs web site [I don't remember the site, so you'll have to Google it], and came up with a page that states that anything marked "Gift" can be up to $100 USD in value before it gets any import taxes or duties levied upon it...
My order came in at $80 USD, which put it well below the limit :c) |
Well, daydeal.com was a bust...they said the car I ordered was out of stock, and jumped up the price by $25. This was my first attempt to purchase ANYTHING on the net, and now I'm doubtful if I ever will try again. AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGH!!!!
|
I agree... and I can vouch for ToyEast being a reputable [and cheap!] place to purchase from... just be sure to keep your purchases under $100 since the U.S. Customs charges taxes/duties on packages marked "Gift" whose values are marked as > $100 USD.
Heck, I got my shipment from ToyEast quicker [or as quick as] most of my Amazon shipments! |
www.hlj.com is diiiirt cheap but i have heard inconsistent things about delivery - some get it right away others it takes awhile. shippee beware.

Toyeast
I just wanted to relay my ToyEast experience.
Fantastic. I got everything that I ordered (the 4 Special Edition GT-R's) a Celica body kit, and the Castrol Supra body about a week sooner than "expected". I would not hesitate to do another larger order with them in the future. I think for parts and what have you though, I'd just as soon find somewhere locally, or find somewhere stateside at least to deal with. ToyEast gets a thumbs up here though. |
There are no import duties on items that are toys to the US from certain countries, including Japan.
|
QUOTE: "There are no import duties on items that are toys to the US from certain countries, including Japan."
Actually, there can be. ToyEast marks packages as "Gifts" which WILL have an import duty placed upon them if the $USD is greater than $100 USD. There are also other things which need to be taken into account. I can't remember the URL off hand, but do a search for U.S. Customs on Google and read up on their site. |
