Finished Offroad bit, tricell, bead lock wheels, wheelie poppin...

ok, im all finished for now with my newest toy. I took a stock microsizer, cut it in half, made it a little longer and added a tri cell from a superslick. I then put some bead lock style wheels on it(from a cheap toy at wallmart, then i ground them down so they were smaller and glued them on) I then took some lego wheels, ground out the inside of them and mounted those. I cut the body to work with the larger tires and the battery(sticks out the back window)

With the tri cell and an orange zipzap motor with orange gears this thing pops wheelies and is awsome for jumps

Let me know what you think

you can see here in these last few shots how it compairs to a stock microsizer. Thats the clear lancer body that came with the yellow one.. big difference huh?

ok, last one,, let me know what you think.. i used the metal from an old floppy disc for the skid plate, drilled some holes in it for looks,, then i took these lights from the same truck i took the wheels off of and drilled holes for that,, i melted the plastic tabs over and away we go

You know how you could make it look really cool? Add some m4d b0dyk17s with sideskirts and stuff! That would rock.

I'm kidding :D This thing looks awesome, I don't think it could look any better! Is there some kind of suspension in the rear wheels? They seem to not be at the same height as the front ones in that last picture.

sporttracguy 02-25-2005 01:20 AM

Thanks

The rear suspension is a little different. you are correct, the wheel in that pic isnt in the same place as the rest,, when i extended the chassis to fit the tri cell i used some flexible plastic and that gives me some articulation on the off road stuff,, its not a ton but its just enough,, also because its on that uneven surface the front is articulating and making the back wheel look lower than it really is

I dont think i can do too much more to this bit,, it has enough power(Can do wheelies) and it has suspension,, i may paint some flames on it but other than that i dont think i can do much more

Good Job STG, I like the idea of using the sliding disk door for your skid plates, good thinking !!!!

JDM-R34 03-12-2005 06:48 PM

Dude that thing is awesome, good job, when you put in a superslick tri cell did you have to modify anything else like the controller?
Good job.

i actualy use the superslick charger to charge this thing since it was designed to charge the tri cell that came out of the superslick.. works great so far,, of course i have to charge it a few time,, runs for a good 7-10 minuts,, im quite happy with it

Yeah, i have to give Betty K the credit for that skid plate,, we talked for a while and im a great fan of his work. Of course i took some artistic liberties and modified his idea little
