sorry for that blurry one, im to lazy to take more than one per angle :(

micro kid 09-07-2004 06:21 PM

use velcro to keep it on

BKeuseman 09-07-2004 07:11 PM

I finished the body today

I used velcro and legos :)

I also made new tires for it, I got the tires from the model kit i used for the body. They look cool but dont really work to well so the tires are only for show, I bought new wheels from RS and i painted them gold, it looks sweet now.

I will post a new pic when i get around to takeing new ones.

I cant today, got homework to do.

The tires that arent on the body are some ones i made out of the tires from the model i got the car out of.

They look a lot cooler than the ones i have on now but they are a little too hard. :p

the new wheels look tiny.

hotrod29728 09-18-2004 05:14 PM

Good job... It looks great... Use goof off to soften the tires a bit... Or, use paint thinner... From what I have heard both work very well to make tires sticky and softer...

FANTASTIC!!!! I think its looks really awesome!!

Can you explain how you lengthened the xmod chassis ? I wanted to do my 71 Nova on the xmod chassis but the wheels dont line up great.

thanks!

Could use a piece of metal, though I'd prefer plastic (saves weight. I would extend it by taking off the rear clip and putting in as much plastic as I needed. Just make sure you brace it up a little. The other problem you'll encouter is trying to find a drive shaft if you ever want to do awd. One can be made with a dremmel fairly easily.

And what is the "And how!" in the previous post supposed to mean?

Appologies, and response. Appology: sorry that I type so bad, if I must, then I'll type properly to keep you guys from givin' me crap for such small stuff. Response: Cool car you have there. didn't know there was a possibility to mount that kind of body on there, but I see that you pulled it off. And... Is that a mechano plate on the bottom?

NEO-R 06-22-2006 08:38 PM

I plan on putting a 1/24 scale 1979 Mazda RX-7 body onto an EVO chassis, preferably, a '67 firebird platform for the wheels. Thanks for the inspiration.
