Metal*/aluminum/titanium/steel Axle cups
I am in serious need of ANY axle cups, for the rear. Because I ordered like 10 from radioshack but, all i recieved was my differentials. Im guessing theyre on backorder, and i ordered them like a month ago. so if anyone here is willing to make me axle cups, mainly the short one with the pin... i would appreciate it. and please post a price.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=2565 is basically what i need.. the small one with the pin.. except i am not in anyway paying 25$+ for a small part. |
PM craftsman here, he is doing aluminum cups...
|
Am i the only one who can't pm people?
|
why did you put that on here im winning that i was hoping no 1 would notice, darn. by the way if you look at his other items he has cf chassis, and titanium joints.

hello
all i have made these cups out of aluminum for the front and back. there is a picture on my pic page. pics left rear $8.00 right rear $10.00 right front $8.00 left front $10.00 email me at wjhecox@yahoo.com |
do you have a special on all of those together? like all in a set for like $30?
|
okay how about $33.00 plus shipping
|
i dont mean to be the bearer of bad news but, i recieved my 12$, left rear axle cup, today...and it didnt fit. One side of it was bent inward, showing lack of quality control. It was a simple fix with a sanding disc on my dremel, but this shows he didnt pre-fit the cup, and it also looks warped (still fits nonetheless) There was no possibility of it being damaged in shipping as it was bubble wrapped, then put in a bubblewrapped envelope. So craftsman, for your next sale..please check to see if it fits first. I dont plan on sending it back, for obvious reasons..(even more money lost on such a small part if i shipped it back, and wasted time.)

My left and right rear cup joints are holding up really well. I drive my car HARD the last couple of days.
|
I would love to have those alu parts but unfortunatly the price is a little steep.
|
You will buy it when you run 6 cells.

you shouldn't have any probs with only 4 cells
|
yeh as soon as i added 2 cells, and locked my diff, my plastic left cup just practically melted. that guy on ebay sells titanium ones for even more, 50$ ... which is ridiculous for such a small part.
|
I definatly see a NEED for the parts. I just don't see the cost justification. This is only my opinion though. It may be very worth the money to others, and if I ever add more cells to my xmod and have problems with the cups, I may also justify this cost. I have a feeling though that these won't be the only ones offered.
I must commend craftsman here for atleast taking the time and putting in the effort in making these for those who NEED them. |
even with four cells... i too have found a way to destroy my rear cups. then again i am a fool to have ramped my poor lil rsx over my truck right? lol.... yeah... a friend and I decided it would be cool to build a ramp out of boxes from my last move and jump the xmods.... I tell ya what... these lil boogers can fly! upon landing... on my landing ramp.... my rear axle cup chiped.... so yeah... kinda blows. my only fix was to make the RSX front wheel drive. worked like a charm!!!
