carbon fiber is cool and i am obssesed with it im getin the decks
and the bumpers but where do u get a carbon fibe drive shaft?
does anybody know a reliable source of carbon fiber parts?

slugbuggs cf drive shafts are sweet, very well made and make a noticable difference in the weight of the car as well as acceleration, it is almost like adding a udp to a 1:1 car :)

Yea were do you get Carbon Fiber sheet's and rod's ? I've looked all over my area and can't find any .

3series takumi, I dont have any 2mm CF rod so I can not do it.

ok yo im gonna need bothe front + rear decks a cf drive shaft a bumper front and back bacically any thing that can be made out of cf and fit on a skyline

how do u make drive shafts? also i dont care about the diameter just give me the smalest

The Xmod center shafts are 3mm thats what size I have/make.
They are easy to make but hard to get the exact right fit in the gear.
I use a small machine to cut the notch in the shaft ends after cutting them to length.

I finally got my new sheet of carbon fiber and it looks very good.
I have had the colored carbon fiber but it is lame in my opinion so I wont use that and I'll keep looking for better colored CF.

I have cut the top chassis braces out of aluminum and planned on selling them but I have decided to rework them since they could short out on the battery wires just like the stage 2 motor mounts can/do.

I havnt cut the carbon fiber because I dont have the right endmills yet, I thought I had a line on the right endmills but that company just didnt work out so I now have to try and find another source.I can cut it with my regular endmills but it tears them up very quick and leaves a bad finish.

how come you cant make a 2mm diameter drive shaft for me :( i will pay! of course. i dont need any thing cut at the ends like the xmods do... just a shaft. keep me posted if things change.

I dont have 2mm dia. carbon fiber rod I could buy some and sell it to you but you could do that yourself for just a little more than what I'd charge you.I dont make the rod itself I leave that to the pros' I convert CF rod into a usable shaft for us.

If your willing to wait a couple of weeks I could order a piece of 2mm CF rod in my next order and make you a couple of the shafts that you want.

You could just as easily find it on the net and order it then cut it to your length.It would most likely cost you between $8 to $11 dollars for a 2mm dia. CF rod 1000mm long shipped to your house from a supplier.

You've probably already checked, but PTS is in Grand Rapids and should carry just about everything your looking for, albeit they're on the expensive side.

If I want a custom length, can you do that also? I am extending the chassis and need a new driveshaft. i will get you the right length. If you can I would want three of them the same length.

shadowblade, if you tell me the exact length you need end to end I can make it, just let me know.

On a side note I have the right bit for cutting the CF plate and have done so and I can get bits at PTS for around $3.10 each so I have that little problem solved.

at decals r us u can buy carbon fiber drive shafts 1 for 3 dollars and 3 for 10 dollars

I think thats the same price sluggs charging, correct me if im wrong. $10.00 for all three lengths?
