Can you make a Xmod sit higher?
I'm just wondering because the bottom of my car hits all kinda crap man Cracks in the sidewalks and everything!
|
Well, I guess there is a way. The easiest way is to install hard springs (the blue ones).
|
Really
Well i'm gonna get the stage2 motors before anything I NEED SPEED!!! |
LOL, yea stage 2 motors is one of the best upgrades you can get. But if you want more speed you can get the stage 10 motor or the NLM motor.
|
Thats really cool because my friend made his Zip Zap lower.
|
I attatched Pokemon cards to the bottom of my Xmod so it wouldnt get all scratched up.I drove my Zip Zap SE of the table and I put paper on top so the top wouldnt get all scratched up.
|
Pokemon cards? Now I have heard everything for a skid plate.

lol....maybe i will get some use out of the 500 some odd pokemon card i have sitting in a box from years past before i sell them on ebay.......lol...... |
if there is an easy way that is not permanent to raise a xmod im up for it. it would be cool to raise it 1/4 to 1/2 an inch or more!
:blift: |

dont hit the cracks j/k
u could mod ur wheels and tires but it might be slow |
The treaded tires have bigger sidewalls don't they?
That would be perfect. |
you could try mounting tires on top of tires.
|
there would be a clearance issue if you did that. xmods needs to come out with a lift kit and big knobby tires
dont you think that would be cool? |

i would defenetly buy an xmod overland!!:D :D they would need big shocks too!
|
where do you get the overlands and how much do they cost?
|
I don't wanna turn it into a rock crawler:p
If somehow i could gain just a little more ground clearance hardly any at all then it would be perfect! |
one way to raise
Get some washers, and put them between the tab on the front and the chassis, then put some more between the tab in the back and the body. That sould raise it a little, and be reversable.
Plus a small bag of washers is easy to find at most hardware stores. You could also use O rings or peices of fuel line. |
were talking about the entire chassis not just the body
|
yea...we need to know how to raise the whole chasis, not just the body.
|
I remember looking at the tire upgrade and the treaded tires looked like they had a bigger sidewall then the slicks.
I was probably gonna buy a tire set later on anyways so i'll just see if that works.....and if it doesn't i'll just mess with it untill i get a good idea. |
yea im getting the tire upgrade too. the sidewalls may be a little bigger but its not going too make that much of a difference.
|
It doesn't need to be raised alot just a little bit and i'll be happy wid it.
I was just gonna buy the tires anyway so it doesn't really matter. If it raises the car a little then it'll be like a added bonus;) |
