How do you make that

x2master 07-30-2003 07:25 PM

I will buy that car cj

charliebrown 07-30-2003 09:20 PM

Uh oh! C.J. got booted to 2nd place, while gangstermx3 snatched his 1st place!

In polite terms, gangstermx3's porsche is now #1

BrokenMonkey 07-30-2003 09:27 PM

I like the work done on the porsche, but dont feel that a big block engine with a blower and flames are at home on a german sport car. I think CJ's porsche is still #1

yea, I hope to clean up the edges more with a file and give the whole thig a scuffing with some 400 grit sandpaper if i get the airbrush set I want or at least some spray enamel. any suggestions as to what color(s) I should make it? or special designs. I saw a testors make your own decal kit i wanna try out at wal-mart

PTink 08-01-2003 12:13 AM

nice graphix on the porsche but two things, 1) i dont think a porsche 911 turbo would every have a blower on it. and 2) The engine is in the back. but it could have been transplanted, still, the best looking blower i have seen, and i have seen plenty.

hey guys look at my challenger im gonna change the color to all black and im gonna put a blower on it but do any of you guys know where i can get a blower that i can put on my zip zap.as you can see my challenger has the back hired because it can do a wheelie so it can do a real high wheelie so do yall like it.hey i gotta agree the blower does not look good on a porsche but when i put one on my challenger its gonna look tite.it is like real american muscle cuz it is gonna have a blower and it can do a wheelie with enough torque so its my best project yet.

AHH! Damnit, this post hurts my brain it is so bad. Dude, give up trying to mod your little RC cars if writing a coherent sentence is too difficult for you.

Super charger on a porsche too.... thumbs down.

I've posted these before, but not sure where. Since this is a one of a kind gallery, I decided to dump em in here for posterity. Besides, I figure some new members might not have seen them. Any new stuff I'll post here as well.
First off, the ragtops. These have tiny "head and shoulder drivers" in them now.

Rugrunners. These two cars are made from two different micros combined into one. The rearend is from a Zip and the steering and electronics are AwsomeRC. These cars have a turbo function on the remote.

This car is a modified SE. It sports alloy rims and a repainted 350Z. SE lights were installed in the body and a steering mod done to the chassis.

This is my ambulance. The chassis is an SE with wide tires front and back. The SE lights work as well as two LEDs that alternate flashing on the roof.

An SUV and a Viper. The Viper is a slot car body. Not sure where the SUV came from. These are reg Zips chassis from some of the original first shipments.

Jazz32 07-08-2006 01:27 AM

geesh azimov, that's quite the nice collection.

Here's my solar Zips. The blue car has been destroyed since I took this pic as it didn't work as well as I liked. You would have to let the car stand in full sun for a few minutes until the inner cap filled and then you could run the car for a minute or so.
The red car works beautifully and is a permanent part of my collection. It runs continuously in the sun. The internal cap acts as a buffer for when clouds come over or if you run the car under something that shades the solar array. The voltage is nearly doubled which makes this car run with the speed and torque of a dual cell. You never need to stop, recharge, and go again. There's a more detailed writeup on these suckers and the very first attempt in BitScience.

Jeep on an SE chassis with blue underglow. The body has been lifted and offroad tires installed.

Jazz32 07-08-2006 10:13 PM

Where did those tires come from?

I didn't realize you were the one with the solar zips, I read about those a long time ago. My professor does research in thin film solar cells and I contemplated doing something similar.

Good cells small enough cost a little too much for me to invest in.

You definitley show the definition of what a good enthusiast is though.

I honestly don't remember. I think they were on a pullback or friction motor atv. They've been in my parts box for 10 years or more. They're nice soft rubber and I'd kill for a contemporary outlet for them.

Yeah, I made them just for the fun of it, but they aren't cheap to build. Serious cells are needed to get the juice required.

hschnark 07-21-2006 10:08 AM

Azimov,

I checked BitScience.com and couldn't find a link to your solar powered ZZ's.

My question other than finding a link is - have you discovered a way to shorten the antenna on the car? The ones shown in the picture seem to be very short.
