Sleek metallic green shell up for grabs... full rally decals. Custom decal and paint job, excellent detail. Please email if interested.

That looks VERY nice, but I don't think anyone would pay 30 dollars for a shell. Now maybe if you throw it on a clone chassis..... Maybe.

SkyLiNEz 4-eva! 07-22-2003 12:15 AM

i might just take it this coming saturday. i gotta think about it...
speed set....or....subaru body
speed set....or....subaru body
New chassis or nice body.....hmmm....
FORGET IT MAN! i mean $30.00!?!?!? WTF are you thinking?! only a crazy, stupid, retarted or desperate person would say that is a fair pice. or a hotshot crazy-spend-everywhere collector. if you lower it to 17.50 and let the buyer pay for shipping, id say hell yeah. But $30 bux? Hell F***in' No, man!

Settle down, Beavis. I have an idea... don't buy it! And dude, if you are going to call someone "retarted", you should probably go ahead and learn how to spell the word.

aw man.. i was hopin to see a body that looked like the new STi's, but i guess not.

Napalm_Guru 07-22-2003 04:06 PM

The Shell does rock, I would not be surprised if someone bought it.

sinden 07-22-2003 05:33 PM

Hey guys, just wanted to make a couple clarifications on the price. I know it's a little high end, but there are some considerations to be made: 1) it is a custom job, so it's one of a kind 2) the shell kit itself was ~$5 3) materials 4) most importantly, the decal kit for the shell was purchased here: http://www.sigmaautomotive.com:8080/...Mon/digiq.html, and I don't know if it's readily apparent but the decal kit itself costs $15, plus the $8+ shipping sigma charges! Believe me, this shell took a considerable amount of cash to make, well over the $30 I've priced it at, so you can rest assured you're getting what you paid for. In fact, I had a very sharp hobbyist do the work for $30 in the first place! Just thought someone would be happy with the result since I don't use my bits as much anymore. Hope this info proves somewhat enlightening!

Weapon-NZ 07-22-2003 10:52 PM

LMAO $30? dude it doesnt matter how much you brought the parts to make this shell for, no one in their right minds would buy it for $30 i wont even buy it for $10, heck i can get a nice new shen clone for that much

sinden 07-23-2003 12:50 PM

...yet someone will buy a Tomy Nurburgring Skyline for hundreds... anyhow, still up for grabs.

NokturnaL 07-24-2003 03:19 AM

Can't see it anymore

yup, i too wonder why collectors buy limited edition cars that were only in a limited amount. Like i mean u can buy a shell and mod it and it too will be a limited edition

Azimov 07-24-2003 01:36 PM

Look guys, 30 bucks is chicken feed when buying quality custom work. You aren't paying for a cheap plastic shell. You are buying a custom, one of a kind piece of art and the talent and craftsmanship it takes to make it. Comparing it to off the shelf products that cost the same amount is rediculous and an insult to the artisan. If you don't realize this, then you probably can't tell the difference between a Picasso and the front of a cereal box. I apologize for the forum Sinden. Some of us do understand the value of true craftmanship in this stamped out assembly line world we live in.

I stand by what I said. If you find my posts annoying, I would suggest that you skip reading them.

Ovgron 07-24-2003 09:16 PM

$30 isnt bad, some guy in germany was selling cartoonish hotrod bodies for $20 each unpainted (cant remember site). Paintjobs can take a awhile and end up being a pain if you dont get it just right.

i cant tell if its $30 or not, it says i dont have administative powers or something so i cant look at it.

I can't see it either. I'm not sure, but I think the poster removed it. Probably due to the warm welcome he recieved. Never ceases to amaze me how mean some people can be because they are cowards hiding behind a computer screen. It wasn't enough to balk at the price, which was probably very reasonable. No, you gotta call him names and harrass him. Then, you defend the harassment, like it's a good thing. Hope you guys are happy, job well done.

nouseforname101 07-24-2003 11:36 PM

I do think it is a little pricy for $30 but still...its one of a kind! I talked to crazydave & he said it costs $15 for his materials & time to paint a bit bodyI'd send to him...And this dude is suppling a out of production body & it is a custom job so it might be worth it...my opinion my not count since I'm not in a postition to buy a $30 bit body but i do think its a lil high considering its a bit...if it were a 1:10 or a 1:18 body I'd go for it but you guys didn't have to be so damn rude

BTW: My old signature said "One who is stupid is one who calls someone stupid & spells it wrong"

SKYLINESrule 07-31-2003 06:41 PM

This is the exact reason I spend more time on the other micro rc forums. A lot of the people here are jerks, and have no appreciation for hard work.
I saw someone pay like $30 for an Enzo body that was made from a mold, so the price is definitely not rediculous. Whether or not it cost $30 to make, the time and effort put into it is worth $30 easily.

Azimov 07-31-2003 10:03 PM

Nah, it's only one or two. Usually the younger guys tryin to be cool without being mature enough to know what it means. And you'll find similar guys on all the forums. Overall, this forum has very nice helpful people. And you cant beat the fairness of the moderators.

SKYLINESrule 07-31-2003 10:58 PM

Ya, maybe it's just the red background straining my eyes that makes me not come back here as often. lol

SkyLiNEz 4-eva! 08-03-2003 02:02 AM

yep, it has happened 2 the best of us...

2fast2furious59 08-05-2003 10:03 PM

i really do wish i could see this piece of craftmanship....i am always amazed by peoples custom work, even if you have someone else do it for you, i just dont see why you would seel it....i think you should keep it has a memento reminding you of teh good ol days of bits and zips...lol, j/p i dunno i do want to see it though

i know this is off topic but why kind of putty should i use to make body kits or add on to bodys
