I just ordered a toy east perfection 4.2 motor. was it worth it?
i ordered one. does it hav good torque? what about speed. will it work in my ms pro and my normal ms?tell me quick plz.
|
howe much did the total come out too with shipping? i wanna get one!
i heard theyre amazing from some people and a couple of people said they suck so i guess u gotta wait and see for urself! |
well you get 2 motors, one for a booster car and one for single speed
imo, i think they are the best motors for the money.... they are very reliable, i have a perfection 3.8 that is still going strong after over 7 months of abuse the 4.2 is bit faster than the 3.8 the 4.2 pro is excellent in a 2 speed car unboosted, and boosted its maybe a little too fast |

u want spedd an torq eh?

lol my savage would whip that thing... haahha
just playin' man have fun with the sportmaxx i hear it rips. as for 4.2 i ordered one for myself, it should be here in about a week, ill post a review of it once i start driving it. |

moose and I ordered together from toyeast to save on shipping. should be here around the 22nd, right when im away  |
i grew don b4 an up aGAIN
bits bore me now, had a duratrax max bx , then the ms then up to my sportmaxx
|
My XX4 can whoop all of them except for the 1:8th buggy.
BTW, Only 1/8th onroad cars and dragsters BARELY get up to 80mph |
You'll really like your 4.2. Did you get the 200mAH battery you were talking about before? I really wish I hadn't gotten mine. It doesn't seem to be putting out the voltage it should be. Before with the stock cell and the 4.2 it would pop wheelies for a few seconds right after I charged it. Now it just kinda bogs down then takes off. I do like the 45 minute runtime I get from it tho.
|
the normal 4.2 sux........the pro 4.2 is better unboosted then boosted...i sold mine in less then a day thank god i got a buy er to give waht i paid with shipping./ i have a small track so you may have more of a use then i did.
|
duz anyone hav a video of the 4.2 motor in action? if u do can u post it on this thread? i wanna check it out before it arrives.
|
haha a xx4 doesn't have a chance against a sportmaxx or a savage.... unless it's bl. ill put my 1/8th bug back together and see how that does.
|
maybe?
hey can probvly out drive me tho, not in speed but handeling

well the 200 mah battery is teh same as a 50 battery. they give the same voltage...it just has a longer run time. and from what it sounds, the battery did it's job if it gave you 45 minutes of runtime as opposed to like 10 with a 50. remember a 200mah battery or even a 10000000000000mah battery will not make your car run faster. |

|
nice job guys!
u took the thread wayy off topic! and how much did the shipping come out to? if iuts as fast as a perfection 3.8 when its unboosted then thats amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I think the 4.2 is worth the $$. It is a bit faster than any 3.4. I don't have the Perfection 3.8, so I can't compare. Pretty good torque.
I ordered the two motors and the set of aluminum heatsinks - the total with shipping was about $20. I think the shipping was $6 and some change. You got to buy one, unless you are mowing lawns for a living. The price of these things is nothing compared to what these guys with the nitro cars spend. I was talking to this guy who has over $1000 into his gas powered! |
i dont
i dont spend 1000s
i cant afford that, unless dad wins lotto |
some people have 3k+ supermaxxes.
look at monstermaxx.com |
I reckon race tins are the best, it might not have propo. steering and such, but for a 90km/h car thats only $40 its worth it :D who cares if u crash
|
it waz 10.08 all together with shipping. does anyone have a video of the 4.2 in action?i wanna see it go.
|
I want to get a Perfection 4.2. The store that I am buying from sells the one wiht the pinkish, yellow tab on the botom of the motor. I have abooster car. I don't know if it will wokr well on the booster. Is the pink bottomed one a Pro or the 1-spoeed 4.2? Sorry form my typing. I have very little time!
|
The Pro is light blue and the King is creme/tan colored
|
i just got mine today. i should be getting the auto modellista set soon. i tried the 4.2 pro and im almost 100% sure that it is better unboosted than boosted. everyone says the boosted cars are a little too fast and they handle horribly. whoa! i just realized i typed "horrlbly" without looking at the keyboard. cool, now i can reply even faster!
|
oh yeah, but if you oder from toyeast shipping is thru the roof!

Well actually, someone with an HPI Super Nitro RS4 hevily modded it and got it to go over 100mph:eek:  But I'm getting off-topic, we come here to talk MICRO rc |

yeah it does require mods but that is included within the $40, check out www.tinracers.com
sorry for being off topic :D |
dats ok at least we are talkin about rc. as long as it stays within that category, i think we wont get 25-life very easily. lol
NEW CAR SET AUTO MODELLISTA 27 MHZ SET 2-SPEED PERFECTION 4.2 KING PRO 8:25:1 GEAR RATIO HARD TIRES BLACK CUSTOM WHEELS PERFECTION HI PERFORMANCE BLACK HEATSINK HARD SUSPENSION DROP KIT PERFECTION WHITE LIGHT KIT 3.6 NiMH BATTERY CAN ANYONE SAY "FAST"? |
I just got my 4.2 motor and 200mah battery. I was really scared changing the battery, since i thought the steering wires were going to DIE. But they didnt. The 4.2 motor is also amazing. Probably as fast unboosted as a 2.2 motor boosted.
Soooo fast. the transfer from forward to reverse is a little slow, but the motor is amazing, my friend and I still havent run out a full charge on the battery, but we will post a review of it later. |
you should try doing a dual cell to make your run times even longer. ike do a dual 3.6 cell. then it will last for like an hour. but the thing is that the dual cells take a long time to charge.
