I just entered the world of Gundam. My first venture was buying a 'Metal Material' Strike Gundam (http://www.timbrisko.com/tbdx/strike.html) which led way to picking up a few 'SD' Gundams...Then finding out more about the TV/Movie/OVA stuff.

So, lets hear about how you got into Gundams, what toys/movies you've got and all that good stuff!

I have a lot more than that lol. I've been into gundams since 8 years old. That's about 5 years now. Nice Gundams Namuna. Haven't been able to get my hands on any Gundam SEED models yet because they just came out. (SD Gundams rule!)

My holy grail. 1/60 Perfect Grade Wing Gundam 0 Custom with full inner skeleton and light up chest and eyes. Super posable, individually jointed fingers, inner mechanisms move, detailed c0ckpit (it won't let me write it correctly because the security senses the bad part in the nonbad word lol) with figure, and it took me 10 hours to build. Hajomi Katoki style paint job.

I told you SD Gundams rock.

Evangelion too. Nice Franchi Spas-12 shotgun. Comes with shells too.

You like the SD gundams? *shiver* ok, man...to each his/her own! LOL No offense. Also never was too much of a fan of how the evangelion figures looked. (again no offense, amigo! :D :p ) My all time fave are the F90 L-type and V-type. Now if I could just find a shop near me that actually sells Gundams again...since the one that I used to get'em from stopped selling them...(which is one reason why I don't have more than this) Anyway...as soon as I get home tonight I'll post any of the others that I didn't list...it seems like I have more than that but...I forget LOL

Namuna - I love the strike gundam you got! Definitely one I will have to acquire. hehe

That PG Gundam Wing is sweet! Can you take a pic of it next to something else that's easy to see scale? Like a ruler would be great. I need to judge if it's going to be something I can have at my desk (likely not).

After just getting done a little while ago, putting together my Strike Gundam...I'm TOTALLY hooked! Now I'm wondering how I've been into Action Figures for as long as I have, and NOT have found my way into Gundam sooner!?

It's by a ruler and Bit Char-G. It's 12 inches tall standing straight up. Like a G.I. Joe doll. Oops, forgot to take out the piece of fluff by his wing.

nice PG gundam W there zeph.... i have a PG gundam wing custom special ops, the one with silver wings. that thing is my holy grail! LOL how much did you pay for yours? i paid $300 canadian = appox. $450

yeah i use to be into SD. i have the whole gundam wing series in SD form, b/c if you were to have the whole gundam wing series in PG form.... you'd need alot of money LOL

yeah i realized i spent wayyy to mcuh money on gundam and decide to go for something a bit cheaper... like R/C but these arent that much cheaper but you can have wayyy more fun racing

$300.00 canadian is less, not more.

I got mine off of HLJ for like 120 bucks U.S. dollars and like 30 bucks shipping. So excited when it came.

hey babykiller my brother has that first one you posted.... i forget whats it called but its not a gundam rite? its a mobile suit Crystal RX-78-2 rite? i dont know.... but did it come stock in red and white?

I wish I had a bunch of parts that clear for my Master Grades and Perfect Grade.

well...it's actually not a very good model believe it or not. It looks really cool but the joints are extremely loose which is why the shield and gun are so low. They never stay in place like my others....just kinda disappointed with it cause it's supposed to be like this special edition model and it's not that great of a quality (the joints are just my biggest compaint...there are others). Anywho...just a prewarning to anyone considering the purchase thereof. :D

You can't exactly play with the Wing 0 Custom either. It's durable, just too hard to move. Balance is hard too. Without all the armor and wings, then it becomes very fun.

LOL i knew that..... er... yeah.... sorry about that.... LOL cool.... gotta find the box again.... but did you paint on the gray/blue colour scheme? its soo cool looking.....

strakka - Thank you! Yes I did paint it. I didn't like the original color scheme, which was this nasty cream green color and instead of blue it was red...ugh...I'll take a pic of the box later to show you but it's ugly. So anywho yeah I decided a flat f16 grey and blue was cooler. hehe :D

ouch! wow hehe I didn't pay nearly that. Actually I paid 50 bucks for the crystal RX-78-2, which is a lot for a model but I really wanted it. :D And as far as the F71 (the blue and gray one) it cost me around 20 bucks, FYI.

And I didn't see too many Gundams on that page. I might've just missed'em but I saw mostly retro japanese stuff like Ultraman, Gatchaman, Getter Robot, and Mazinger (saw more Mazinger than anything else). Did see someone w/ the RX-78 Perfect Grade though (drool! :eek: )! Very big and very cool! hehe :D

Zephyranthes, i got a question with the perfect grade wing o custom, how many parts are in that kit?, cos i'm wondering how you only took 10 hours to assemble it, with so much detail, my aeug zz gundam, took me approx 20 hours, with the full decals and gundam marker detail. if you can get a 1/60 strike gundam get one, at 3500 yen, they are selling fast, i have to say, once you finished assembling a mobile suit, you feel as if you have made something really special with your hands

true true, ms char-ged! Building Gundams can be frustrating at times but once it's done it's awesome! :D

And I believe the PG Wing 0 Custom comes with a total of 679 parts.

Lol, I underestimated how many parts were in the kit. I've had a lot of experience building Gundams so it was fairly easy except wiring the lights. I've built 40+ Gundams. Strike Gundam looks really cool. Can't wait until Gundam Seed comes out on DVD or something.

Gundam yea!!! I just got into it because I believe the mecha design was significantly better than that of Macross and Transformers even though I'm still fond of the Valkyrie transformation mode in macross.

Dude Namuna, that Strike gundam is tight, have fun building it! I just wished they would make a Mobius Zero, even if it's going to be a 1/144.

This thread reminds that I have to get a master grade kamfher from the 08th ms team.

aaaaaaaaaaah! You have a master grade Titan's Gundam!!! MAn....I seriously have been dying to buy that one but I've still got ones I need to build so I've been trying to not buy anymore...plus I haven't really had much time to build'em...*sigh* oh well... :D

yeah, gundams are more of a collectors thing... you gotta have alota $$$ to be in it deep... like really deep lol

im thinking of buying a 1/60 'real scale' strike, but my other list of RC still need to be completed... lol

Yeah no kidding! LOL Buying the model then the paints then the air brush. I still got about 100 different types of model paint left...need to go through and see if any of'em are drying out. :(

Must get MSM-07 Z'gok MG when it comes out!!! Then wait for the release of the Mobile Armor Mobius Zero in July (they say it's gonna be 3,500 yen!!!)
