hey killer i am interested in making a small rc. not near as small as some of yours but somewhere like 1/24 or something like that. i was wondering if you made those very small u joints? if you did how did you? thanks alot man you are awesome
it would also help alot if someone could give me some help finding parts like gears and radio systems. web sites would be great thanks alot
Sawhit, I think a lot of people re using parkflyer airplane radios. The receivers are super tiny in those systems, and you can't get anywhere near that size using normal 1/10 truck/car radios. I'm pretty sure the only way to use the parkflyer systems is to get the whole shabang, with Tx, Rx, and PICO servos. The servos I have been looking at are, GWS Pico, TowerHobbies TS-5, Hobbico HS-55 (the HS-81 is too big), and the Futaba version of the TowerHobbies servo (they have the same exact case). I may be missing a few, but the HS-55 is only $18 at towerhobbies.com :D As for gears, just tear apart some old mechanized toys like I did. Also, some people have found small gears at model railroad stores, I think gears from the N-Scale engines. I am going to look into that as soon as my railroad store gets in my Man 5T!!:D Welcome to the board!
