imagins again that his gears break to bits and motor caches on fire

Babykiller, that is possible, but the armature would be unbalanced and possible cause the motor to run slower. Why do you think people true electric motors on lathes? How would it cut the power in half? If it was done correctly (using a precision machine) it would all depend on how much wire was taken off.
Btw, yes it is possible. Is it likely to work good? not really. Any fool can go out and cut some wire off their motor and call it a 6.0 I myself need to see it to beleive it.. Go see Jims Black book of electric motors to educate yourself on the matter.. BTW, very original name  |
Yeah, and you know what else? 10,000 rpm motor suddenly turning 60,000 rpm would require a TON of modification, including rebalanced arm, more finely selected magnets, and so on.
In short, BULL****. Also, you're ESTIMATING that you and your high school friend have doubled what was once the highest attainable motor by precise machines from corporations. I think you just made yourself a 2.6 and the incredible increase in speed over the 1.0 made you think its going faster than it is. Until I see videos of this thing doing 10-15 mph (which is what a 6.0 would do) I won't believe it. Also, the alleged 4.0 only spins at 33,000 rpm. You can search the forums and you'll see that tiny himself says this... The website says that the 4.0 spins 30% faster than the 2.6 or something like that. Anyway, its not 40,000. And your motor isn't 60,000. The heat generated from 60,000 rpms between the armature and the case would literally weld the motor in place. It wouldn't even turn again. |
i've rewind my stock bit char g motor using 44 guage wire and well the results, 2 times faster than my 3.8 at 3 cell mod :o . instuctions on the wind method technique comming soon.

"The lower the turn, the lower amount of wires wrapped around the armature, causing faster speeds. The byproduct is heat and less run time. (drawing more current) If Xero really did this (in no way am I saying he didnt..) the motor would be drawing more current from the PCB, and it may possibly burn it out.."
Exactly! I had a lot of heat and less run time. Torque is extremely low that i have to lift it off the ground and warm it up a bit. Wrecks you seem pretty good. Have you tried modding these motors yet? |
no, but im doing an external turbo to run *HOT MOTORS* :D
|
Thank you Xero  I have been into the electric racing scene for around 4 or 5 years now. When I was a beginner, I tried to "cheat" to win in the stock class. I rewound my motors. I didnt do it right and ended up frying everything:rolleyes: I dont think I will try anything like that. If you want a "sleeper" motor, take the armature out of a a 1.0 and 3.8. Put the 3.8 armature in the 1.0 can. People will be shocked!;)

Oh yes, I am also working on "turbo" It is very much like a dual cell mod, but it sends one batteries power directly to the motor, not thru the PCB. I will let you know how it goes! Btw, it is quite simple. Take another battery and wire it to the motor, directly. So positve battery goes to positive motor tab and so on. Then you solder the battery up to the charging jacks. You can run a dual cell mod without fear of burning up the PCB! Plus I am guesstimating it will have more power then the regular dual cell mod (only seems logical..) Anyways, later :)

2 times faster than a 3.8 with 3 cells. Yeah okay.

i know i sound pretty stupid about know:o  buuutt whats an amerature?

just the shaft ?or all the coils around it
|
i think its with all the wires around it not sure tho
|
that would make sense cause from my experience the cases are magnetic but what be could is to beables to send like 3.6v DIRECTLY to a eletric magniet and cause like a 3.8 made into a 4.8 but still i would think that would be the only thing that mattered with speed so if you stuck the1.0 in the 3.8 case it would simply be a 3.8 and the 3.8 in the 1.0 would be only 1.0 but from another angel wiring set ups and how many times a motor is wraped i can understand effect a motor too but not as much as the magnet would remeber this is only a guess/opion but i would love some more educaion on the subject;)
