But, Math says that charging at 500mA for 10 minutes produces roughly 83mA. (not 210mA) How do ya explain that? You'd need to leave it on for longer than 10 min.

i do leave it on there for more than 10 min before i said i thought it waz like 10 min but its a while longer i didnt clock it i just know it took more than 10 min, but it works and it makes it run a long long time.

Charging Times....
 
ok ive come up with an easy way to charge your batteries to the fullest without a peak charger. its almost as good as one as long as you follow the charging times perfectly.

ok i took the charger that comes with a cannonball clone and wired it into an ac adapter. i also made it to where you can charge a single cell or a dual cell without havin to switch anything.
what you need is that charger and an ac adapter thats rated at: (3.6 v and 250 mA) or one that is rated at: (3.6 v and 500 mA)

both work the same just if you charge at 250 mA it takes twice as long as at 500 mA. just cut the end of the ac adaptor off and connect it to the charger wires to + and - . or if you dont have one of those chargers you can take the charging pad off of your controller and hook it up that way.

ok here are the calculations for charging at 500 mA like i said if you get a 250 mA just double the charging times.



To calculate charge time for your battery, use the following equations:
Slow charger: (Cell capacity in mAh / Charging rate in mA) x 1.4 = Time in hours x 60 min.
Fast charger: (Cell capacity in mAh / Charging rate in mA) x 1.5 = Time in hours x 60 min.
For example if you have a 1700mAh battery and a charger charging at 700mA, you will need to charge the battery for approximately 3 1/2 hours.
210 mAh / 500 mA x 1.5 = 0.63 hours = (Hours x 60 min.) = (.63 x 60) = 37.8 min.

160 mAh / 500 mA x 1.5 = 0.48 hours = (Hours x 60 min.) = (.48 x 60) = 28.8 min.

150 mAh / 500 mA x 1.5 = 0.45 hours = (Hours x 60 min.) = (.45 x 60) = 27.0 min.

120 mAh / 500 mA x 1.5 = 0.36 hours = (Hours x 60 min.) = (.36 x 60) = 21.6 min.

100 mAh / 500 mA x 1.5 = 0.30 hours = (Hours x 60 min.) = (.30 x 60) = 18.0 min.

80 mAh / 500 mA x 1.5 = 0.24 hours = (Hours x 60 min.) = (.24 x 60) = 14.4 min.

50 mAh / 500 mA x 1.5 = 0.15 hours = (Hours x 60 min.) = (.15 x 60) = 9.0 min.

Is there any negative effect on run time if you charge too long? Does it make any difference?
