i dont have an xmod but i do have some AA enegizer 2500mah for my ssmt and AAA enigizer 850mah for my zips controllers(rechargbles nimh) they both have nice long even discharging lives and i do like their preformance. if you have not tryed them out it may be worth tryin, i think u just have to experiment with different ones to find the one to ur liking
