tinyrc 11-23-2002 04:01 PM

Wow guys, I can already see that judging this is going to be extremely difficult! These are all so good!

dadz tahoe, I wonder if you could make the Clie collection available for others who might have one? Thanks!

dadz tahoe 11-23-2002 04:30 PM

clie/palm OS collection

tinyrc..

that's a great idea :D i will start work on it asap. i will bundle all of the pics up (with everyone's permission) and make a palm prc file, as well as a zip file, so that it can be viewed by palm or clie owners viewer programs (picturegear, acid image, acdsee, ectc).

Permission granted... go nuts. :) The type and team logo were too small for this rez so here's a revamped 320x240.

Hey Tiny,

I was wondering if there is a set deadline on this contest. I have a wallpaper in the works already but my progress is very slow (First time using Photoshop for a few years after sticking to Paint Shop Pro for like four years :) ).

I wish I made this post on my own computer so I could show you guys what I've come up with so far. Basically, I'm trying out a lot of stuff with photoshop and combining it into a wallpaper.

Wait for me :D

dadz tahoe 11-23-2002 06:58 PM

kwikbb & legion..

thanks much ! have gotten ur images and cleaned them up in photoshop (resolutions) so that they view properly on clie and palm screens. will post up the finished product asap (trying to mod my tahoe this weekend  ) , as well as my microsizer.
i hope to see some more papers to add into the collection !

ZipRC 11-23-2002 07:12 PM

woohoo! time to bring in a totally horrifying subject that just came to me, not related to zips but eeeeeew god this is horrible.
did any of u guys hear about the Wizard of Oz hanging? back when it was made, supposedly one of the munchkins who didn't get cast or fired or wutever hung himself. And if u look carefully in the scene where they march away after the witch throws the fireball, toward the top middle/right u can see like a shadow swaying. FREEEKY!!! god im gonna get nightmares about dead munchkins.

arch2b 11-23-2002 07:56 PM

if you want to use mine, fell free. i will be posting more as soon as i can stop my program from freezing. damn computers.

Well, for now at least I'd like to keep it fairly open in order to give people the time they need to come up with one. Once it seems like most people are ready, we'll probably announce a deadline. :)

arch2b 11-24-2002 08:57 AM

thanks for keeping it open, i think i will have to get a new graphics program, no hope for getting mine to work again.

Pojo 11-24-2002 10:58 AM

Finally its my turn.

Dissapointment. After I completed my wallpaper, I went over this thread from start to last post and I realized that a 1600x1200 sized wallpaper must be ready. I made mine at 1280x1024, the highest resolution my video card can output. Also, when I wanted to resize it to my fav. resolution (1024x768), I couldn't resize proportionally so I had to resize it without a ratio aspect.

I have prepared a 640x480 because I can't really make out all the details in the 320x420 image uploaded here. The 640x- sized wallpaper can be viewed here; http://www.geocities.com/repulsarlift/tiny640.html

So...comments?

MTL 11-25-2002 12:33 AM

har har, nice idea
it is sorta hard to read when small..but oh wells..
im not sure if we need the 1600x size...there arent that many people that actually use that res....1024x, 800x is i believe the most common sizes

tinyrc 11-25-2002 01:02 AM

d00kie, don't worry about the 1600x1200, we can do w/out it if you're already maxed at 1280! :)

Legion 11-25-2002 01:52 AM

Thanks.:D
Funnily enough I use 1600x1200 but I agree that most people don't. Don't worry about the res. just keep putting out the good pics. Glad this is just for fun there's way too many excellent pics for my liking;) :D

binaryterror 11-25-2002 06:06 AM

Mark me as the non-common user...heck on my 19" monitor i run 1600x1200 and on my 21" monitor I run 2040x (or something)

But the 21" rez is not common at all!

Good work guys.

DarthRacer 11-25-2002 06:07 AM

Someone should archive all of these and make them "official" tinyrc.com wallpapers.

binaryterror 11-25-2002 06:15 AM

Sounds like a plan...i am setting up my FTP site so those of you wishing will be able to upload the files to my server. The only downside i know of is you usually have to have an FTP client to access my ftp server. but if you link directly to the file (thumbnail) it will download.

I'll work on setting up a user/passwd today and then post.

kwikbb 11-25-2002 11:12 AM

d00kie thats a sweet theme.

Legion you've got that graffiti style down to a science, nice work.

MTL thanks, in the higher rez version you can see that they are actually pulling apart from each other... like cells multiplying, you should definetly do another... this is hella fun!
We've got some great designs so far and the different styles of art make it even more interesting. I want to see more of everyones ideas!
